Rather than focus on the negatives and/or fear mongering, how about being grateful there's still a product on offer at all?

Fear mongering?  I rather admire your attitude and also tend to be more of a glass-half-full kinda gal so I will also look for the positive when we cruise in March. But to call attention to the changes, cuts, up charges is hardly fear mongering. It’s just fact. I’m glad Celebrity has remained afloat, pardon the pun but I’m not about to sugar coat the truth or down play the facts as fear mongering. In truth, the room service fee and OVC changes… even up charges for lobster (I’m allergic) don’t impact me personally. But when Celebrity dilutes their product with such things it impacts all of us collectively. JMO and I will step off my soapbox now 😇

it's $9.95 and it's old news. It's als a great example of the negativity seen on this forum of late!

Yes, it's an extra fee and there are others, but Celebrity didn't go under like many cruise lines could have done! It ls doesn't apply to continental breakfast.

Alex...I am going to go with..."Who is a suite guest for $1000.00"

I thought so too, at least aqua class.

From what I read here, most of this has gone away.  Why pay the $2,000+ increased price, for zero perks?  It is priced near to Luxury lines or all inclusives, with airfare included!

This cruise was a casino offer, aqua class, classic drink package, $600 shipboard credit, wi fi and tips, I   paid $678.46 plus upgraded to premium drink package and wi fi for another $346. around that price.  This cruise is under $1100.00 for us with everything and getting $600.00 in shipboard credit so in reality this cruise will cost us $500.00.

You got an amazing deal, as did I, having two Comped Christmas cruises on Apex, in a row.

Another downside - someone not feeling well and deciding to self-isolate (and not report to medical) can either  pay $12 to have a hot dog delivered, or just go to the dining room.

Hmmm....never felt like eating when feeling that ill. So I don't think that's a problem.

I was asking if I don’t get the lobster 🦞 will X issue me an onboard credit for $16.95 plus gratuity ?

since they only charge for the 2nd one, there would be no charge and therefore no refund for the first one.

I certainly plan on slipping a 20 or two in the slots on our next cruise!  What a great deal!

Blu is (at least currently) immune to extra charge for additional lobster entrees

Retreat is also exempt to the extra lobster charge but only in Luminae, not in the MDR.

I thought that Aqua & Concierge got a "Special" Room Service Menu, which included upgraded offerings and no service charges?

Aqua still pays the room service fee, only the suites are exempt unless that changed today. Aqua and Suites have in past had more enhanced RS menus, I would assume that they still do.

How does one get a casino offer? I haven't sailed since before covid. In the meantime I get several comp offers and upgraded status at a few different casino properties.  I play blackjack and will be playing a fair amount when I sail next month.

…and I’m going to go with totally irrelevant. Not always a suite guest, just when I get a great deal on one. Otherwise we’re balcony guests, just like the majority. However, we’ve never ordered room service and on the rare occasion that we may if necessary in the future (I have limited mobility), I’m certainly not going to stop cruising because of it!

I don’t like the changes any more than anyone else, but if it means the cruise line can keep going, then I’ll grin and bear it. A large number of the people boarding with us on Saturday are cruising for free anyway, so where’s any revenue coming from if not from extras?

While Suite passengers are waived the fee for room service, Zenith members of the Captain's Club are also waived RS fees.  This has become a new Zenith perk.
