Um, me from yesterday:

The old casino and Umi Uma spaces show up unaltered, so I'm going to guess that they're being left blank while branding deals are being worked out.

Also, I was right about the bathtubs.

Agree with you on photos.  Those ships are construction sites, and anyone who's been responsible for a construction site knows the magic that occurs in the last 24 hours(and sometimes after.)

I am surprised about the bathtubs/heavy refresh of the bathrooms, but maybe it's easier since they they were already replacing so many staterooms as it was.

But the rest of that wasn't breaking new ground or disagreeing with what you said; it was responding to someone saying "no Japanese restaurants."

There have been rumors for about two months that casino is getting the axe. So hard to say what will happen there. Dunno what else it could be used for though.

From my travel agent earlier today, there will be a sushi restaurant that may or may not be associated with Nobu. There will not be a casino.

The most time we ever spent in the casino was when it was our lifeboat station, so no great loss. I just wonder what they will do with the space.

You are comparing apples and pomegranates! Keep in mind that many (most) are not driven by cabin size. My best clients (almost 50 cruises in ten years) are perfectly happy in an Inside room as long as it is near the library! Many who post on this board are quite content in a room on Deck 7. Personally, we prefer whatever they now call the PH/PS, but that is just us, and I don't find that pricing that terribly out of line to what we have paid on SS/SB/Regent for cruise of late.

I don't disagree with you at all, on the contrary. For us, the cabin size is one of the least priorities, and we are perfectly fine with 215 sqft cabin.

But lets do a quick comparison on prices for Med 10 night sailings.

SB has at least 20 sailings in $5,300-6,000 CAD range.

SS has many sailing start at $6,700-8,000 CAD for D2D, or $6,000-6,500 P2P. But they also include excursions.

Crystal starts at $6,900 CAD, so at least $1,000 more than SB, and slightly more than SS but SS includes excursions. Add the fact that SS and SB have much newer ships, and I just don't see how Crystal can compete.

Back when the trivia winners would get a $25 award to use in the casino, I'd bet 25 cents per spin, count to 100 pushing the button and then cash out. I remember getting $12 to $14!! ☺️

Ah, so that's how you bankrolled your luxury cruising lifestyle. 😁

As to the space, I've figured it out: art gallery/auctions.

Profit!

(I'm kidding.)

Lots of great things to be excited about.  I haven't drilled down into pricing yet for various voyages but I am sure the solo passengers are very happy.  From my limited exploring of itineraries, just now, I think the price for solo cabins will be well received by many.  The jump to Aquamarine Veranda from a standard balcony stateroom seems more favorable than old Crystal but I haven't compared enough voyages to make an assertion on that price structure.

However, I do find many mistakes in the description of suites/accommodations.  I wonder how the person in charge of the suite section of the website can get away with using the wrong diagrams to describe the floor plan of the new Aquamarine Veranda Suites on both vessels.  Many of us seasoned travelers can spot the mistake.  If my memory is correct they are using the old Seabreeze Penthouse Suite (PS) diagrams from both Serenity and Symphony instead of the Seabreeze Penthouse (PH) to illustrate floor plans for the Aquamarine.  The 'up to 323 sq ft' would match the old Serenity PH floor plan which never had a living room/bedroom divider (and this number would be slightly smaller for the Symphony equivalent). I wonder why the new website would not quote the smaller Symphony stateroom/suite size.  I feel that would be the right thing to do because the room sizes are smaller and its noticeable.  They need to go in and clean up this section to show correct floor plans and be honest with the size.  In addition, for this particular category the photos they are using are a mix of PH and PS examples.  That is just sloppy.  It appears they stayed with the color palette and design of the Seabreeze PH for the Aquamarine Suite which makes that color scheme inconsistent with the refurbished suites and staterooms, unless these are just place holder images, which is entirely possible.  The Symphony Crystal Penthouse also received a nice contemporary makeover but it seems the Serenity Crystal Penthouse looks the same as it was before.   All in all, I think this is an exciting time and I can't wait to experience the new Crystal product.

A few questions:

1) has anybody found the cancellation policy and the deposit/ full payment timetables and amounts? What are they?

2) are the port charges included in these prices?

3) if a single person books a double room

(because no single rooms available or prefer a better location), what is the “single supplement”?

4) is there an early payment discount?

5) is there a discount on these fares for crystal society ? I thought crystal advertised that crystal society members would get a discount.

I replied similarly on the other thread but so far I’m very impressed with the look and I expected the pricing. I also expect a class experience better than SB or SS and hence the pricing. It all sounds great to  me.

I’d be thrilled if I were traveling solo.

A sushi restaurant will come, just not named yet.

I found that the  pricing IS reasonable compared to other luxury vacations.

Four Seasons Orlando (yes at Disney) is over $1,200 a night for a basic room and of course, does not include food or entertainment.  Likewise Ritz-Carlton Tokyo is also over $1,200 a night.  Dinner at NOBU Tokyo will set you back at least $150 per person.

Crystal is competing with not only other cruise lines, but every other luxury "vacation".

Last May I paid $1500 a night  (total for 2 people) for a tiny oceanfront suite in Maui with no food or entertainment. Way not worth it. These prices are reasonable IMO. Especially if you are going to Europe or Med

Having had a chance to take a good look at the revised deck plans, given the major changes on Serenity's Decks 8 and 9, is a July 31 launch realistic?? Be interesting to see Vince's take on this.

I'm guessing they paid a premium to get the ship up and running. Otherwise maybe not.

I don't see an itinerary for Serenity on Dec 23rd 2023?

They haven’t finished posting everything! Who would’ve thought it wouldn’t all go up at the same time? Not I.
