Currants on top (technically a kind of grape)

millefeuille ( translation thousand leaves) French pastry in Jacques but shows up sometimes in MDR

phyllo pastry and custard cream

Yes and they are sour

Lingonberries are a Swedish favourite more likely to be found on Viking or at IKEA.

I've had the Millefeuille, and love it, but haven't seen the currants on top. Must be a new flourish.

That wasn’t just crispy crust…the top was burnt!
