Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted February 9, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2023 Pretty sure you are seeing a "casino offer". Everybody will not see this.

Nope not how my casino offers look. I was looking at cruises last night without signing in and everything was priced at zero.

It displays a price when you move through the booking to the cabin selection stage.

CruisnDeb Posted February 9, 2023 #7 Share Posted February 9, 2023 So I had to login to see that price. I decided to do a mock booking just to see what the final price would be. I knew I would have to pay the port and tax fees, but what is the Comp Cabin Deposit? I understand deposits, but this one is different and one I've never seen before. The price is displayed after cabin selection, but it goes on to explain that the comp cabin deposit is refunded to OBC making the total fare equal to taxes/port fees. Jadn13 Posted February 9, 2023 #10 Share Posted February 9, 2023 (edited) This is the new booking for casino cruises. Check what you have available in your personalizer. It was supposed to be finalized by the end of the month. Edited February 9, 2023 by Jadn13

Ahhhh I should have read the WHOLE sentence....I got as far as non refundable and then stopped. That does explain what I saw as far as OBC once I clicked on the View applied promos link. Thanks for clarifying that for me. Edited February 9, 2023 by CruisnDeb
Outerdog Posted February 9, 2023 Author #13 Share Posted February 9, 2023 I'm still confused... folks here are saying it's a casino offer, but honestly I don't gamble that much. I mean, I think my total coin in and table play last cruise amounted to around $400 or so playing slots and $5-$10 hands of blackjack. Hardly a whale... I am by no means a high roller and have only been on one Princess cruise back in 2016, but I still can book under the casino rates that seem to be the same rates that others post on here. Getting ready to take my 2nd Princess cruise on the Discovery next month where I was able to get a mini-suite for $599 cruise fare using casino rate.

I had a free casino cruise in a Verandah Balcony on Holland comped and I was only on 2 other HAL and gambled $100 It’s Random.
LibertyBella Posted February 9, 2023 #16 Share Posted February 9, 2023 For the past few years I have received multiple offers from Carnival for free or dirt-cheap cruises (British isles for $100.00?!), and I am not a gambler, and they were not gambling offers. I think that they just want to get bodies on the cruise ships, and then they hope you will spend enough on board to make it worth it. Unfortunately, most of the dates clashed with our work schedules. Also, I have pets, so I can never leave and go anywhere last minute--I have to make sure I can get the dogs into the kennel. Yes, there are many great offers if one searches around, is not too picky, and can travel anytime. Hopefully some day I can take advantage of those kinds of cruise experiences! memoak Posted February 9, 2023 #18 Share Posted February 9, 2023 This is a casino offer. You can get casino rates without gambling all that much but the free play is usually dependent on how much you gamble
Rare JimmyVWine Posted February 9, 2023 #19 Share Posted February 9, 2023 At the rate being charged, wouldn't Passengers 3 and 4 do better by just booking their own cabin? 🤣

Rare azbirdmom Posted February 10, 2023 #21 Share Posted February 10, 2023 Yep it's the new interface for booking casino comps. And I would strongly recommend not booking these yourself just yet. It's a mess....

I'll wait until I find out how the whole thing works with FP and PP.
nyc12345 Posted February 10, 2023 #23 Share Posted February 10, 2023 No $0 for me either. Princess and HAL don't want my donations and I will take my gambling money to Carnival and Royal (since they know how to send offers to people who actually gamble). disneyochem Posted February 10, 2023 #25 Share Posted February 10, 2023 I am also holding off on booking online. Some of my offers include the Princess Plus package as well as a lot more free play. Don’t see that reflected when I try to do a mock booking.
