Hey looking for the info , but could not find current answer, the refundable fare for the cruise I’m looking at is 1100 buck Canadian more , I have no intention of canceling, but ya never know what could happen 1.5:years from now , my question is if I go no refundable, I can still change the sailing date if need be just won’t get my money back ? I always sail royal , so I don’t mind investing if not for the cruise I book , but another , basically what I’m saying is I don’t need the cash back , just not interested in loosing money if I switch

Better yet find a TA that has group rates.  You will pay less for a refundable group rate than what Royal is charging for their nrd rates.  Balconies and below. Double occupancy.

I think the $100 change fee only applies up until final payment date? I would love to know if I am incorrect though.

After FP, the typical cancellation charges apply, for both refundable and non refundable. Cancellation charges are tiered as you get closer to sail date, 25% up to 100%.

Length of Cruise Days to Departure

Charges (per person)

1 -4 Nights   75 + Days No Charges (except for Non-refundable Deposit amounts)
(including Holiday Sailings)  74 - 61 Days 50% of Total Fare (taxes, fees & port expenses excluded*)
60 - 31 Days 75% of Total Fare (taxes, fees & port expenses excluded*)
30 or Less Days 100% of Total Fare (taxes, fees & port expenses excluded*)

5 Nights or Longer  90 + Days No Charges (except for Non-refundable Deposit amounts)
 (including Holiday Sailings
 & Cruisetours)
89 - 75 Days 25% of Total Fare (taxes, fees & port expenses excluded*)
74 - 61 Days 50% of Total Fare (taxes, fees & port expenses excluded*)
60 - 31 Days 75% of Total Fare (taxes, fees & port expenses excluded*)

So refundable is NOT refundable once you're at 74 days or less to your cruise??  Refundable fare doesn't sound very...refundable...

You can switch a refundable fare to a non-refundable fare when you're more confident in your plans. Your cruise fare will re-price to whatever it is the day you change it, which could be less money than your original booking, or it could be more.
