Celebrity Silhouette 13 Night Transatlantic ( April 20-May 3, 2023 ) Solo Concierge Class LIVE Review

Day 13 Good Morning ( Le Havre, France 🇫🇷 )

Paris being a long drive and something to see with my wife, today is a pack and work day. This itinerary wrapped well around my work schedule and today things change on that front.

This is my first Celebrity Cruise not in The Retreat. I started this live review noting I received a casino blue chip offer in the mail for a free inside stateroom cruise (I estimate it was a ~$650 credit in the end).  I later did the Move Up to Concierge Class for $200.

Every morning I updated an excel spreadsheet tracking every penny I spent with Celebrity.  Below are the results and the cost per day.  The Premium Drink Package would have cost me around $1,417 ( $109 x 13 ). I buy bottles of wine (I splurge here) which Captain’s Club Elite nets me 20% off, same as a package. I play casino craps which I get free drinks. As such, coffee and the martini bar is the amount I would have used the package for, a total of $189.59.  The math wasn’t close.

If the arithmetic materially changes, I will update, but with restaurant transferred wine for tonight, I think this is about it.

On the casino, after all tips to dealers and drinks, I am +$660.50 for the trip and not part of the numbers below. With us leaving France at 9:30PM tonight, the casino is closed, so a net number.

Last night a very nice gentleman at the craps table said he was reading this review and hadn’t considered taking the free offer and using Move Up.  The below math is for you too.  I called him Jerry Grantham, they are doppelgängers. 😊

Cheers from Cafe al Bacio!

Totally surprised that Coronation memorabilia is being sold in Cobh, which is not part of UK. They split from Northern Ireland in early 20th century(3 rd May 1921).

Was the KC stuff not bought in Weymouth ( SE England)?

We were on the Eclipse 2 weeks ago, doing a B2B out of Sydney. We have cruise a lot with Celebrity. This was the first time the food was not up to their standards! We always enjoyed a quick burger at the mast grill. But the burger meat was grey! Didnt look like meat, went on grey and came off grey!! Looked like lots of filler and just a mushy texture even when well done! Did you try one of the burgers from the Mast grill?

I’m on the same sailing. Just had a burger at the mast grill and it was delicious

I might have passed you a few times on the walking track. Everyone seemed happy with their food in the beautiful weather!

Were you able to utilize the captain's club elite discount on more than one bottle of wine?  Asking based on a question in another thread.  Thanks

Morning! Yes, every bottle. In fact, I asked the Captain’s Club Desk twice to confirm.

I think it might have been a higher percentage (30%) in the past and they limited that to once.

Morning from the Silhouette as we port on Southampton.

My last supper in Murano was unreal again. Amuse Bouche was a crispy brie with a sweet chili sauce, cheese plate to pair with wine, then the risotto, next the table side lobster 🦞 followed by the chocolate soufflé (no picture) and complimentary sweets.

Vimal was my preferred server after four visits. Charles is the sommelier and remembers everything.

If you are traveling on the Silhouette in the future tell them hello from me.

Cheers at 3:30AM, just woke up! 😬

Just to be certain I purchased 3 bottles and received 20% off each with my Captains Club Elite.

I paid $25 corkage for a bottle I brought from home. I did not have a drink package.

Thank you.  I did not get a chance to ask about the MDR room service.  I did get a picture of the room service card.  Have a magic day!
