RCI C&A 25 years goodies?

Nada for the 25th on Adventure last week. Although……….We did have a bottle of champagne waiting on Day 1 with a letter from the Guest Services Manager thanking us for choosing Royal.  Not really sure why they sent it.  It wasn’t our D+ gift as we received it later in the week. Maybe it was a substitute for the 25th hat.  😂

Funny that person who cruises twice as much as me could be upset because he/she didn’t receive some more souvenirs. Also this presumably much more loyal to Royal person doesn’t know how much favorite company lost due to Covid stoppage.

I received a bottle of wine from guest services on May 2022 and May 2023 Anthem TAs.  None on Sept 2022 Voyager TA.

My issue isn’t about “presents”.  

Why announce a year of celebrations, make videos promoting the celebrations…. Then have nothing? 
 

I don’t want a baseball hat. 
 

I did like that little cake 🧁 they did a few years back.

My thoughts  as well. Why the big splash and then nothing.   I think the celebration announcement was made before anyone checked with  Liberty’s thought process and budget.  We are still in the 25th year, yet we never hear anything about the “celebration“

The 'celebration' was probably already in the works, then Jason Liberty was promoted.  I'm thinking that he (and current mgt) don't see the 'freebies' we receive as something to celebrate.  😂  Especially when they are tightening the belt, so to speak.  Bean counters in charge (I'm an accountant, just not in charge of a budget) always come down to "does this make us money?" And if it doesn't, "is there a way to get rid of it without losing money?"  Especially when the debt is so high.

Cruised on the Navigator in Feb and nothing received.  Don't care, just sharing.  We sail her again next month on a 2B and again in Sept on a 4B so maybe on one of these who knows.  lol

We have the baseball caps, probably from Grandeur.  Last year, on Enchantment, I was wearing mine as I walked down the hall, and a cabin steward said "That's an old hat!  I was onboard then; it must have been 25 years ago!"

I’m on board now so I asked the LA ( who was wearing a 25 yrs polo

shirt 👕) about the “ celebrations”.

They said that landside staff will board a ship with the goodies - don’t know when they will turn up or which ship they drop in on.
They will have enough goodies ( aka hats) for the c&a guests on board that specific sailing …. So if you don’t happen to coincide with one of these visitation sailings you miss out.

Wait...I'm supposed to get a "gift"?

 

I am Diamond Plus.

We were on Navigator in late January.

We were on Symphony in April/May.

We will be on Quantum in August.

So far, nada.

 

Well...on Navigator, we were supposed to get a beach towel as the regular D+ "gift".  Never got it...they said they were "out".

Then, they changed the "amenities" and took away the towels and such.  On Symphony, we got a cheap bottle of wine as the D+ amenity...

But NEITHER cruise did we get anything special for the 25th Anniversary.

 

Do I expect anything on Quantum?  No...They didn't even give us lobster on Symphony...
