best casino slot machines at sea (Carnival Cruise Lines edition)

What's YOUR personal favorite slot machine Carnival has?

My wife loooooooooooooves the fat piggies slot.

(i dont think i have a favorite one.  i adore the ones that don't take my money rapidly.  we get free drinks in the casino and i really enjoy having a few adult bevs before my daily wagering budget is captured)

oh, see also likes that machine with the reels that spin that yells at us:  TWO MORE FOR THE BONUS!  ONE MORE FOR THE BONUS!

I hate those ones! First of all they are loud and obnoxious...plus they rarely actually hit the bonus...( I do like the piggie ones tho)

I haven't found a favorite, most games on the ships are not games I have ever played in Vegas. I like playing slots but I don't bet big. I like old school 3 reel type and rarely find one to play. My favorites are pinball and top dollar but the ones I have seen were $5 machines. I have trouble enough playing $1 machines.

My biggest jackpot win was on a quarter machine, 3 coins, won $2500.

I like Quick Hit and Panda bear.   If those aren’t available or someone is playing, then I don’t play.

I like how the panda scurries up the wheel and then winks at you, then turns the wheel to higher points than what it landed on.
LOL.  I love that.

Slots have always intrigued me. But how often do you actually win money?  Sorry, I don't mean to high jack thread.

You don't and it's quite mindless. That's why they love slot players.

Chasing those payouts is quite addicting though...one more spin, it's gonna pay off!

I don't play the slots.  I play a very little bit of video poker, preferably Jacks or Better.

At least there is some skill involved and I know exactly what the odds are.  That's probably why there are so few video poker machines available on Carnival cruises.

I like the Zeus or Kronos ones. Used to like Heidi but she was a cruel, cruel mistress on my last cruise.  Our relationship might be over.

I used to love the ones that were Davinci’s Diamonds or Rembrandt’s Riches. If you won, that line dropped off and respun. I regularly came out ahead on those but they seem to be gone from the ships.

The answer above is probably the best one I can give (thought I like Mr. Zeus better, given the choice).  I'm glad to hear they're still on at least some Carnival ships.  I look forward to giving them a whirl when I cruse in the next few months.

Honorable mention is this little thing that I saw on a non-Carnival ship:

There are at least two definitions of "win" and I'll try to give answers to both.

The first definition of "win" is "make a bet and get some money back".  That happens roughly 20 to 40 percent of the time for the slots I've tried in the casinos and on certain apps.  Keep in mind that some "wins" will be less than what you bet.

The second definition of "win" is "walking away with more cash than you started with".  In the long run, your chances approach zero - though some people make up for it with perks and comps, and some others derive value from the entertainment the slots provide.  But in the short run anything can happen.  And if you're REALLY disciplined and take this definition of "win" to the extreme ("that $2.50 win puts me at $100.05... I'm done! 🤑), you can "win" over half the time.  In doing this, expect the size of your losses, when they happen, to overwhelm the size of your wins.

I only like the old reel slots. Can't even find them anymore.

Looks like Venezia has all video slots.  Actually thought of canceling the cruise because of it.  I always spent a good amount of time in the casino but refuse to play those stupid, loud machines.  Makes me feel like I'm 12 at the boardwalk arcade!😝

Yup, that song is addictive

I used to like Heidi. We were on a ship for four days last week, with a row of four Heidi machines set at max volume, and all four were constantly busy. It will take a long time to get that song out of my head and be ready to play again.

I was loving the firecrackers for a while, I won some the first few times I played, not a lot, but my money went plus instead of minus lol.  Lately though that machine has been doing me dirty.

Ultimate Fire Link I can usually manage to play for a while on not much coin.  Hit a $700 major once, but it all went back in the machine!

Lately I've been liking Lightning Link.  But you've gotta max bet for any real winnings.  Have a bankroll to start, or you'll money will bottom out quick!

The only machine I've ever won a handpay was good ol' Double Diamond reel, quarter bet, up to 3 lines.  I suspect those have all been removed, sadly lol.

I used to feel that way too, and I always do a preplay scan for reels lol.  However, as that's becoming almost impossible to find, I've evolved and moved on to the video slot.  I've decided they are actually fun, and just a note, most do have a volume control, you can tone it done.  I definitely do that.

I have heard the odds improve a bit when volume is maxed, but that may be apocryphal…
