Things get changed out. Later in the day you might see carrot cake, coconut cake, cupcakes etc.

Years ago they served a great carrot cake and German chocolate cake but not any longer the current carrot cake is not as tasty probably using lower quality ingredients

With pleasure!  Not only am I not a fan of the lemon tarts I also do not care for the chocolate ones which appear periodically.

I love the lemon ones.      A while back they had a Honey filled one.   It was impossible to even try to eat.

My experience has been that coffee drinks containing 'premium' alcohol (such as Bailey's) will have an upcharge - depending on the server and your frequency in the space 😉.  Classic Pkg has an upper limit (mine was $10, but it may have gone up over the summer?) and some of the drinks were over that by a dollar or two.

while Bailey’s is below the price limit of the Classic package it is specifically called out as being on the Premium package. I never figured out why, just ordered my Coffee & Bailey’s or my Aspen and showed my card with the Premium package.

My only complaint is that all the cakes I've tasted ---- look far better than they tasted.    Especially the ones with the shiny frosting.    I've gotten to the point I don't even try them anymore.

No lemon or chocolate tarts this morning on the Edge.  They have been serving a delicious pear-Nutella cake which is wonderful — but alas none today.

And today I realized that there is a small sign indicating that the Cafe al Bacio treats “are on us.”

Ditto Jim, though I still try just to be sure 🙂  I've also found that many tasted all the same no matter how different they looked.

I really liked the Berliner donuts they used to have a (few years ago) but sadly have not seen them around anymore.

No not everything is free. The delights are not calorie free!

I guess I'm spoiled; still prefer the cakes and pastries I get in Amsterdam when I visit my son each summer

I was wondering if all the pastry is free at Cafe Al Bacio on Celebrity Cruise ships?  Also, does the Classic Beverage Package enable you to get all of their specialty coffees, lattes, teas, expressos, etc. that are listed on their menu, for free?  Thanks in advance!

The baked goods at Al Bacio are included in your cruise fare. At least for now.

The pear-Nutella sounds wonderful.     We usually go to Retreat for Petit dejeuner.    On our past cruises they have had the regular size croissants instead of the mini ones they have had in al Bacio recently.    Iain is a late sleeper and we have never made breakfast in Lumina.

They do have the best pastries in Amsterdam.   My favorite is  Winkel Apple Pie.

I saw you at the slot pull on Apex on our TA but you were speaking with someone so didn't interrupt. That was a great cruise

We are on Apex in a few weeks…the app doesn’t contain information on opening times for the Cafe. Is in a 24 hour venue, or if not, is there a 24 hour coffee station located somewhere on Edge class ships?

You can get coffee at buffet 24 hours a day. Spa Cafe opens 6 or 6 30 am

Cafe for sure not 24 hours, 6 or 7 AM opening I think, not sure of closing time, I'm usually in the casino.  🙂 ........there may be coffee available 24/7 in the buffet...

the spa cafe does have hours in the app, as does “Il second bacio”  which is inside the ocean view cafe (or the buffet) on deck 14, 6:30 am til 1 am.

@PTC DAWG so based on what you said, and what  @drakes2 said, there is no coffee available before 6 a.m. unless you order room service?

used to RCI ships so forgive my ignorance, lol. DH is an early riser And if there’s no coffee available anywhere before 6 or 6:30 am, he won’t be a happy camper.  Nor will I be if I have to be awakened by room service at 5 am everyday for him to get his coffee! 😬

Coffee, tea and juices are available 24 hours a day in Oceanview Café.  From a recent Eden Daily Planner: Other ships are the same (except possibly the expedition ships, I haven't looked into those)

Bite your tongue.  I have it on good authority from multiple high profile CC members that all the food servered onboard is calorie free.       🙂. 😉. 🙂

I am posting from the Edge and am happy to report that both chocolate and vanilla macaroons have been available (not at the same time).  Not a fan of the lemon tarts but they seem to be available.

Macaroons or macarons?
