Details sketchy, but 7 meter waves and gale force winds in Drakes Passage if we do our scheduled itinerary.

Making a run for Ushuaia and will head back to Falkland Islands later in week

We've attended several on Vision class and no, they don't put plastic down.  The eggs are usually encased in something.  We also have enjoyed the paper airplane contest a few times.

Things are just different here😉

I watched a recent crew video.  Although they can drink in their off time it can’t interfere with their ability to perform in an emergency situation.  So I assume getting really intoxicated would be a no no. If they were falling down drunk, slurring words it could be a reason for firing.

Crew bar open till sunrise

Are there options.  Perhaps an alternate route.

I would think the only option is to wait it out until the weather gets better and then take the trip around the Horn and head North. Just might mean they miss some of the ports between where they are now and LA.

Will be whatever the Captain thinks is best to do.

Lots of folks looking at an app called wind.

It's ugly

I am sure the Captain is also,   When I met up with @Sea Dog in the DL on Adventure, the Captain came in.  We were having some rough seas and he was showing us how he used that app on his phone to select an alternate route .

I may have misunderstood the Captain, go figure. I now think we are headed further south into Antarctica before we do Falkland. So Ushuaia will remain on schedule.

Of course it's all up to the gods of the sea

I love to see the crew have fun.  If they enjoy their jobs they are happier and that makes the guests happier. Glad they got a fun day before they start in with guests.

Same.

No plastic was used on my Serenade sailing last fall

I've never seen so many yolks on floor before.

And when John and Pat did it on Serenade in 2019, the dripped from above the stage.

Opposite of this drop. John's landed on drum kit, but did not break
