What's in Luderitz that a cruise ship would want to stop there ? Sure wasn't much when I was there eons ago:)😎

Just when you think you’ve seen some beautiful places on earth this thread reminds you there are so many more beautiful places to see.

From being there for a week in the 1980s I recall penguins, seals, unique wild horses, and an amazing old diamond mining ghost town.  Name was something like Kolcamp, but it was longer than that.  It was only about an hour or 90 minutes from Luderitz.    The vast desert and vast salt pans are endless and almost otherworldly.    Sad that the port was missed.

How awful!  Do people even use a strap on their children?  I remember my Mom saying her grandmother used a strap😔  I'm talking well over a hundred years ago....

My grandfather had a razor strop that he never used, but it was hung in a place where all of us knew exactly what it was for, and none of us ever gave him the opportunity to take it off of its hook.😱👴😇

That's interesting. If anyone even layed a hand on me, never mind a strap, my mother and father would have lined up to teach that person a lesson that they would not soon forget.

😂 My father had a razor strap and it hung on a hook on the back of the bathroom door.  We all knew what it was for and I experienced  it only once... not fun!!  Kept us all in line though.😇 PS he would snap it if we were out of hand and that was enough of a deterrent !
