Casino account handling

I need to update my knowledge base on Princess since things change rapidly these days and we haven’t kept up with the Princess system.

I try various search keywords / phrases but no relevant results coming back.  Hopefully the community collective knowledge here can provide some answers.

Is it still able to charge your shipboard account to add fund to your casino account thru the slot machine?  That charge would be commingle with other charges in the shipboard account, and go against your existing OBC?

Or the casino account and the shipboard account now are completely separate on accounting purpose?

Also once the fund is in your casino account, you cannot cash it out if you still have balance in it towards the end of the cruise?  Regardless what the make up of the balance?

You can charge money to play at slots to your room right at the slot machine.  That then goes to your onboard account and is mingled with all other charges (and credits on your folio).  Once you've "charged" an amount to a machine, it's there to play at any machine until it is used up and you can put more money on by charging your room.  At any time but definitely before the end of the cruise you must cash out the remaining balance in your casino account at the casino cashier.  This amount will not be automatically sent as a credit to your onboard account / folio.  You can always take the money you receive from the casino cashier to passenger services and ask them to apply it to your folio if you wish.

You can take your money out anytime except if Free play. Have to use that.

Say if have $400 OBC and you charge $300 in the casino, they will subtract the OBC and you

will only be charged a $100.

Can not use your veterans benefit OBC in the casino

Do you have recent experience with this statement or are you just reading what Carnival Corp. has on their web site?

Just read on site.  DH status confirmed but not showing on new reservation so have never used.  I did wonder how they would separate the obc

That's what I thought. I have always seen that any OBC can be used in the casino and for any on board expense. It's just posted as a credit on your on board account.
