the Icon of the Seas has launched - 7,600 passengers!!! 250,800 tons and 20 decks. I think I caught a glimpse of it in Cadiz -

RCI isn't going to provide cocktails to people under 18 yo. You have to be 21 to drink on US sailings.

I can honestly say I have never had a meal in WJ like that.  Wouldn’t it be nice if they served that on every cruise.

Chris Wong just posted a video of when he joined the Icon crew in Cadiz, Spain a few weeks ago.  In the video, they're still doing a lot of last-minute work on the ship.  You can see many of the different areas of the ship, including a few crew only areas.  Makes for a good tease before seeing the finished product this week.

 

This video is a great way to learn about this amazing ship. Very cool to see it in a mostly empty state. Also cool to see some of the crew only areas that we rarely ever consider . Looks like they are treated quite well in what little down time they manage to have !

I saw a video when the show was going on, and it didn’t look like sight lines were very good from the back, at least from their camera vantage point.  Will be interested in how it is.

The Aquadome has me the most intrigued.  The Aquatheater is my favorite venue on Oasis class ships and I'm hoping that the Aquadome is a step up.

The Dome on the Sun is one of the things that intrigues me on that ship.  Very similar concept they will use for shows at night, and as a solarium pool during the day.

 

At least the inaugural for Icon is going smoother.  The inaugural for Sun was supposed to be a week from Wednesday, and they just announced last Wednesday that it was cancelled.

Yes there is a sauna, steam room, and those heated beds. All for 180 dollars for the week.

I just like to hit the sauna after a workout…maybe 3 times during the week.  At $60/each, is a little too much.  
 

I remember the days (long time ago) when the sauna was included.  Ohh well.
