Full Suite Amenities

We have booked a cruise on Enchanted Princess in April.  We have a full suite.  Wheelchair reserved for embarkation/disembarkation, along with a rented scooter.

I know that we have priority embarkation and access to the priority lounge.  We also have Reserve Dining and complimentary mimosa breakfast each day.

1) Do we need to make our priority reservations for breakfast when we board?  With whom do we make these?

2) Is full suite room service upgraded and complimentary?

3) Reservations at the Sanctuary are first come first served, BUT if you are disabled "running" to deck 18 is not an option.  Have called Princess about this and they apologized for the policy, but offered no other option.  Suggestions?

4) We don't drink alcohol, but have a complimentary minibar- set up.  Could we get a coffee machine instead?

5) What time do we need to be at the port in order to get aboard quickly through priority embarkation?

I have tried to get my Princess travel advisor to answer these particular questions, but she cuts and pastes the info available on the website.  That info doesn't answer these specific questions.

Can anyone out there help us?

1.  No reservations for breakfast, just show up

2.  Room service is complimentary if you have a package, otherwise you pay $14.99 to activate the medallion or $5 for delivery.  You can order from the main dining room menu but the room service menu is no different

3. No idea about the sanctuary as I don't use it unless it's a long cruise and can make reservations at any time..  But yes, I see your point about not being able to get there.  They should come up with an alternative.

4. No to the coffee machine but you can trade it for water or sodas.  They no longer offer a coffee exchange.

5..  I usually get to the port about 10:30 and there is a slight wait if the previous disembarkation had no issues.  Depending on where you are leaving from they might have an elite/suite waiting area.

You pay for room service either $5 per order or if you do the medallion activation. The exception is the paper breakfast menu you place on the door the night before which has some basic's like coffee tea and toast.

I believe you can get coffees loaded onto your medallion in exchange for the mini bar. Call room service to do the trade.

IF (I don't know) the Enchanted is leaving from FLL, you might be lucky to receive an invitation to that special lounge pre-boarding.  I heard that you could reserve the sanctuary from this onsite lounge.

Your morning coffee at Sabatinis/Crown Grill is complimentary.  You may have as many cups as you desire:  Americano, Latte, Cappuccino.

One of the perks for suites is the ability to order MDR dining for your stateroom.  BUT, this is where Princess really drops the ball.  You need to pick up the phone and CALL ROOM SERVICE to place this order.  Doesn't matter if you have PLUS or PREMIER, because you placed the order by phone, you will incur a $5 delivery charge.  IF you order your meal to be delivered all at once, it's $5.  If you want courses, it will be $5 for every time they bring in the dishes.

Plus and Premier packages (not the standalone beverage packages) do not incur the $5 charge for calling room service. Some people confuse the plans

I did not test this out, but the officer was pretty clear to me that I would be charged regardless of which plan I had.  I had Plus.  Someday, I may challenge Princess on this policy.  I don’t sail on Royal class ships nor did I ask a concierge on a Grand class ship to advocate for me.  So far, no need to.

On the other hand, when I was in isolation, I was not charged $5 for MDR delivery.

It is quite clear in the details of what is included in Plus and Premier... the $5 room service fee is waived.

I can only relay my discussion with the Food and Beverage Officer during a suite private event.  This was confirmed by (2 different) concierges on the Caribbean Princess.  I am waiting to hear from someone on Cruise Critic that actually has placed a MDR order via a phone call to Room Service.  Isn’t it odd that no one has ever chimed in?

We were in a suite with Premium, ordered room service multiple times (on the phone) and were never charged the $5. 🙂

Yes, the Grand and Caribbean had concierges. They are the former loyalty and events managers (now called events officers). I have worked with 3 so far.

They do not work for Princess they are part of the future cruise group which is now run by a third party vendor. Not exactly the same

They are not part of ONE (Future Cruise). She is a Princess Officer that coordinates events AND services suite passengers.  You may reach her (because I’ve never had a “he”) through customer service counter.

I can verify position since I have worked closely with all three.

Last summer, Princess separated the Loyalty and Events position. Loyalty went to ONE. Events became a new officer position. She wore a Princess white uniform.

And the person in charge of future cruises is featured on the officer picture board but they do not work for Princess just like all the managers of spas and casinos.  If they are in charge of events why don’t they run the MTP lunch the officers are all introduced by the head of future cruises

We have not found a need for the Plus or Premium packages when sailing in a full suite on the Enchanted. In addition to the suite minibar set up, you can get lattes or cappuccino 24/7 in the concierge lounge, as well as bottled water. You can get specialty coffe and champagne/mimosas with suite breakfast in the Crown Grill, and just about any drink you wish from 5 to 7 in the Concierge lounge as complimentary.

I cannot help with ressies for Sanctuary, but if you do get an invitation to the GO Lounge, accept it and get there fairly early. The concierges in there will contact the shipboard concierge, who will make your reservations with the Sanctuary staff, and can also handle any specialty dining reservations you wish to make. Go Lounge will take your luggage, and they will also transport you to the pier (they will have a wheelchair waiting for you if you alert them to the need) and shepherd you very quickly through the security checkpoint and entry to the ship.

If you go directly to the pier, you will still have a quick embarkation process as there are special lanes for wheelchairs, no worries regarding that. But, that doesn't guarantee that you will make it in person to the Sanctuary to book a lounger. You might not have any difficulty securing the much more expensive cabana reservations for the duration of your cruise.

Hope this was of help to you.

People need to be aware that concierge lounges only exist on Royal class ships. Also many of us drink at many hours of the day not just 5 to 7. The minibar is not refillable so on longer cruises it can be gone quickly. We always sail in suites and get the plus package

I was responding to the OP who is sailing on the Enchanted. They have a concierge lounge, She stated they do not drink alcohol. But if you wanted sodas, they are included in the minibar. We are not heavy drinkers so the packages don't really make sense for us on the Royal Class ships most of the time. Everyone needs to do the math for themselves, but it helps to know that there are certain amenities included with the suites that have concierge lounges in making the decision.

OP will have access to the Concierge's Lounge while on the Enchanted.  All Royal Class ships have them (Enchanted, Sky, Royal, Majestic, Regal, Discovery).

The Grand/GEM Class ships (Grand, Diamond, Sapphire, Crown, Ruby, Emerald, Caribbean) DO NOT have a Concierge's Lounge, but do have access to a Concierge who will assist you if you can not get something resolved from the Customer Service Counter.  S/he is available behind the scenes.  No office, but if you ask to speak to Concierge, they will get back to you.

Too be more specific: When I was in isolation, she tracked me down and asked if I needed anything.  I did not inform her of my situation.  After isolation, Silviya stopped by during breakfast in Sabatini's to see how I was doing.  We worked together on another cruise before the split.  So when I met her again, she gave me her direct extension.

I am only speaking from personal experience to those that may not be on a Royal Class ship.  I hope others will also benefit in knowing that they will have access to a Concierge (not readily advertised) when cruising on a Grand/GEM class ship.

Im dont drink much alcohol but the lounge is stocked with soda and water 24/7. So I really ddin't need a drink package. I was just across from the lounge so it was great just popping in, grabbing a soda or water whenever I needed one.
