Redneck Bob, will you be waving at us again tomorrow with that large hand of yours, or has the swelling finally gone down a little.  Bon Voyage, have a great cruise.

Good morning from a dreary day in Wisconsin.  We had rain all day yesterday, and at times, it was a drenching rain.  We don't have our rain gauge out yet, but there was a lot of rain!  Poor Cooper, our dog had his yearly vet visit also.  He had his vaccine updates, and I think he's feeling achey this morning from them.  Vet says he's underweight and should eat more...that's a challenge.

DH has his 2 week follow up with the PA after his hip replacement.  He continues to do well!

Thanks for the reporting and sharing here.  My mom always made the sweet potatoes with marshmallows...we make them with just a bit of butter and brown sugar now.  The recipes look good!

I didn't get to read yesterday, but cheers and hugs to all!  karen

Good morning all. When I opened the bedroom blinds this morning I was greeted by a flock of wild turkeys pecking at seeds in the lawn, there must have been 30 walking on the lawns on both sides of the street. By the time it dawned on me to take a picture, most had moved down the street. What a sight!  One of the Toms was strutting and fanning his tail. Me thinks mating season.

just above freezing but hoping the sun will come out. Making progress on income taxes. I got confirmation yesterday that I have a year from July to file my father’s trust tax form so that can be handled after this crush to get 2023 taxes done. And I have someone experienced that will do it, for a fee of course, which I am happy to pay to get it done right.

prayers for those that need them and a celebratory shout out to those cruising or celebrating.

Sorry, super behind. Bindi is not having a great morning. The craziness of the past few weeks has finally caught up.

Good morning everyone.  Feeling a little better today.  Thank you everyone for your well wishes yesterday, they worked!  Yes, beware the Ides of March.  I like the quote, it’s true of course.  Think I’ll pass on the meal and drink today. I haven’t been to today’s port but I have been enjoying the photos.  Praying for everyone on our prayer list.  Cheers to those who are celebrating happy events!  Congrats to @Nickelpenny on her big win yesterday! Bon voyage to @Lady Hudson 🛳️🍾

Good Morning from a warm and sunny day at the beach

Interesting collection of days. I wonder who decides that certain things get their own day? Is there a committee? Just curious.

Very busy along the beach. Lots of people in town. The latest news is that Brightline Train is putting a station in Cocoa. Will be at the Rt 1 and 528 interchange.  No timeline yet. Didnt make sense that they totally skipped Brevard County but looks like that will be fixed. It would give cruisers out of Port Canaveral another option. Train from Orlando to Cocoa and then Uber to the port.

@Nickelpenny  Congrats on your big win! Very exciting.

     Off to water aerobics.

Stay safe and enjoy today

Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

67 right now with a high of 86 with a light breeze, excellent day for golf.

Some silly days but I like the quote.

I might try the sweet potato casserole.

After the Masters, my favorite Golf Tournament is The Players which is played annually at the TPC at Sawgrass up in Ponte Vedra Beach which started yesterday, first round leaders at 7 under par are Xander Schauffle, Rory McIlroy and Wyndham Clark. Number one player in the World Scottie Scheffler is -5 but I wish the guy would acknowledge the fans once in while with a tip of his cap, he has the personality of a ping pong ball, just saying.

Have a great day and stay well.

Ditto but I rate Scheffler outward appreciation of that of a bowling ball with only two drilled holes! 😀

Unfortunately the swelling has not gone down, even now I’m a little big headed! Look for me deck 8 on the hump with the family, if the ship is not delayed!

Good morning.

It is partly sunny and 18°F.

Thank you for HAL fleet reports and daily listings.

I never could figure out this Brutus guy and the famous quote, ate to Brutus. What does eating have to do with killing someone? And way back last century on what I believe was William Shakespeare’s 400th birthday, our school had a Shakespearian festival where we performed A Midsummers Night Dream, and yours truly RedneckBob was a fairy! I’m come a long way since then! Can you imagine RNB talking in an English accent as a RN!

We're having quite the upset on our street today.  First we were supposed to have pine straw applied to the mulched beds in about two weeks but this morning the 18 wheeler arrived to unload bales of pine straw.  This time they didn't knock over any mailboxes like they did when they delivered for the common areas.

Here's the load left in front of our house.

00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhG

At the same time the contractors laying down new fiber optic cable arrived and began digging holes for them to thread the needle down each side of our street. Here's a pic of them at a few of my neighbor's yards.

00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhG

And here are both teams at work at the same time in the same place!

00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhG

We called our roofer and asked him to delay working today because there is just too much going on and we don't need any more stress at the moment!!

Good morning, thanks for the Fleet Report and Daily!  Beware the Ides of March!  I'm not often dumbstruck, and I really hope everything I think isn't wrong.  I wonder if Christopher Columbus brought back a bunch of fridge magnets from the new world?

It's a nice morning out there for us, currently we're sitting at a temp of +2 (33F) and we're looking at a high of +5 with a wind that should start up in a couple of hours.  Combined, that will help bring down the mountains of snow occupying our yard.  I noticed the neighbour was out on his roof yesterday with a snow rake, getting the edges of their second story cleared, as a few years ago they had an ice dam problem with a lot of damage to their bedroom ceilings and walls.

@Lady HudsonBon Voyage; I hope you have a wonderful cruise!

@NickelpennyCongratulations on your big win; maybe the spirit of Martina was with you helping give you some joy, despite your sadness.

Today I have to run to the bank to get a charge reversed from my credit card; when I withdrew the refund from HAL, my CC charged a fee as a "cash withdrawal".  No, it wasn't a cash withdrawal, it was getting my own money back.  I had to do this once before when we cancelled a previous cruise, so I know what to do this time.  One of the tellers has to call the CC company and get them to reverse it for me.

Not much else on our agenda, except enjoying the day.  I'm going to give a pass on the drink, would like the wine, and have honestly never had today's menu suggestion.  I'm pretty sure DH wouldn't appreciate it, although I'd try a sample to see what it's like.  It's Friday night pizza night at our house, so later we'll look at the offerings to see what we'd like to eat, and because it's the Ides of March, we'll have a Caesar salad to accompany it at the kitchen table tonight.  And wine.

Prayers for everyone who is in need, in pain, in grief, in poor health, and who just needs a boost.  Cheers to all with celebrations.

Smooth Sailing!  ☺️☺️☺️

Good morning from a wet Quartzsite.  Yes, it's finally raining and it looks like it will last a few more hours.  Today is house cleaning day, so I don't need to be outside anyway.  It was 49F when I got up, and it looks like we'll only reach 56F this afternoon and tomorrow.  What is with the winter weather?

It seems appropriate that it is Brutus Day on the Ides of March.  I think I'll skip the other two days.

The Ralph Waldo Emerson quote is very true.

We'll pass on the meal.  I used to make the sweet potato casserole at Thanksgiving, but no body really liked the marshmallow topping.  Baked sweet potatoes with butter or air fryer sweet potatoes are good though.  We'll skip the drink, but the wine sounds nice.

We have visited Trondheim twice.  It's a lovely, walkable city once you get there from the port.

Three more interesting days in history.  My favorite is the beginning of professional baseball.

@Crazy For Cats  Jake, I'm glad you got the ticket issue resolved.  Yikes on the power outage.

@StLouisCruisers  Sandi, I'm glad your DGD is feeling much better in her new apartment.  I'm glad your arm is better.

@AncientWanderer  Maxine, I hope you can get your plans for the Japan cruise switched around.

@cat shepard  Ann, I hope Bindi will have a better day and settle back down.  Thanks for reminding us that tomorrow is the 4th Anniversary of the Daily.  Where would we be without Rich and the Daily?

@Nickelpenny  Congratulations on the big jackpot win.  Are you going to take your winnings and book another cruise today?

@Denise T  Denise, I'm glad Fiona is back to her self today.  I hope Chase is doing well today.

@dfish  Good luck at Farkle tonight.  Given the two dinner options, I'd hope for KFC.

@quilty964  Karen, I hope your DH has a good report from the doctor today.  I also hope Cooper feels better soon.

@superoma  Eva, thanks for the picture of the wild turkeys.  I haven't seen one since my grandparents moved from the farm into town.

@Mr. Boston  I'm glad you are feeling a little better today.

@ger_77  Gerry, I hope you don't have trouble getting the credit card charge reversed.

We have visited Trondheim twice, in 2005 on Marco Polo and in 2011 on Prinsendam. On those visits, we wandered around and took a tour offered by the visitor's office.

In 2011 while on the Prinsendam, the local tour took us to a park that had a collection of old buildings on display, including a small Stave church.

Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, DIxie, and Ann.  I think of the three days may favorite is probably Everything you think is right is wrong day.

I love the Emerson quote but have not been to Trondheim.

Three interesting days in history, I think of what I've heard so far my favorites are the first professional baseball game and the beginning of the Daily.

I think I'll pass on the meal.  My alternative is Mixed Greens Salad with Fresh Pear, Surf and Turf (just turf for me), and Pear Frangipane Tart as served on MS Prinsendam March 15, 2019:

Rain is expected off and on today but I got my errands in this morning with just a few sprinkles.  We may have a thunderstorm a bit later.

Good morning Dailyites

My prayer list keeps growing. We have a friend with Covid, a neighbor whose husband passed away yesterday after a long illness, friends who wanted to add insulation to their attic found broken, rotted, beams and a lot of water damage. Allen's body scan was canceled again, and got an email yesterday that our doctor left the practice. A new doctor wants to see him before he continues any more Dupixent shots for his eczema, so he's left with new breakouts again. And last added but not serious, our girlfriend driving home got caught in the rainstorms and she got a flat tire on the freeway.

Continuing on, prayers for our lovely friends here on the Daily, their families and friends.

Bon Voyage @Lady Hudson

We will have a quiet weekend. Just a few minor chores, and a patio table to assemble.

Well! There's 2 bucks behind our fence that just tipped our bird feeders, chomping away, after Oliver and I just filled them. There's baby bunnies eating strawberries in our yard. It looks like 3 strawberries are enough to fill their tummies as they leave the 4th strawberry behind.

Prepping for our Daily Anniversary tomorrow. Thank you Ann @cat shepard for the reminder!

Blessings to you. Have a great weekend! Xx

Good morning everyone!

We're in for a run of nice days with temps in the 60's which is unusual for us at this time of year. Not to get our hopes up as rain is back in the forecast by Wednesday.

No to the days but yes to celebrating tomorrow's anniversary of the Daily! Today is busy as I have company coming in for lunch. The menu is Greek Lemon Soup and homemade rolls along with cookies and a Lemon Pound Cake for dessert. We're all retired educators at the same school so it should be some interesting conversation.

Have a good day.

Good morning. Thanks for the FR/Daily @kazu and @richwmn and maps @rafinmd.

It's the Ides of March. 3 unusual days. Good quote. I'll pass on the sweet potatoes with marshmallows and the drink. Yes to the wine. I haven't been to Trondheim. 3 good days in history.

It's been rainy and cloudy here, and 50F. I slept about 5 hours, but had napped for 3 hours in the afternoon yesterday. I finally feel like this head/chest cold is leaving. I have PT in early afternoon, then I'll just putter around the house sorting through stuff to donate or keep. I'm still waiting on the contractor finding a new radiator to replace the damaged one.

@Lady Hudson Bon Voyage!

@Crazy For Cats I'm glad you got your tickets straightened out. Last night I started hearing this beeping - it was the CO detector. It was flashing END meaning end of life and to replace with a new one. I'm glad it didn't go off in the middle of the night.

@StLouisCruisers I'm glad DGD is feeling better at her new place. Lovely photos from Trondheim.

@AncientWanderer So sorry all your plans for ports are now invalid and you have to make new ones.

@cat shepard I had noted the anniversary as the 28th? I hope Bindi is ok.

@Nickelpenny Congrats on your casino win!

@Denise T Good news on Fiona and I hope Chase is doing well.

@Mr. Boston I'm glad you're starting to feel better.

@Quartzsite Cruiser Thanks for the nice Trondheim photos.

@Seasick Sailor Sorry to hear of all that's going on with your friends. And that Allen has to wait and see a new doctor before his Dupixent shot.

Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating.

Good Friday morning Dailyites!  Im late today because DH needed to pick up his meds, and I figured since now there is no breakfast food, i would get breakfast and then walk the dog.  Got home just in time, and noticed my neighbor was home.  Was she home when I left?  I have no idea.  But I called, she is home with a headache, but could I walk the dog tomorrow while she is working at the St. Paddy's day parade.  Yup.  I mean what else would I want to do at 10 am on a Saturday.

We opened the screen and let Tigger in this morning.  He has found all left over food, has been chased by Furnando, he chased Furnando, and Bobagingee is just watching it all unravel around him.

@NickelpennyCongratulations on your big win!  Was it enough to stay on board for the next cruise?

Today's sunrise is from my 2010 Crystal Symphony Trans-Pacific cruise from Los Angeles to Sydney.  March 15 was a sea day from Honolulu to Sydney:
