grapau27 Posted May 25 #5 Share Posted May 25 (edited) Thank you for today's daily reports. It is 62°F and partly sunny here. Brown bags are much better than plastic bags for the environment. Missing children day is so important. Madeline McCann is the most well known missing child in the UK. I will give today's food and drink a miss. Prayers uplifted for everyone who is unwell. I wish everyone a happy day. Edited May 25 by grapau27 30
Rare MISTER 67 Posted May 25 #6 Share Posted May 25 (edited) Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte. 75 this AM with more of the same with a high of 91 and sunny skies. Very good selection of days. I don’t get the quote. The meal works for me. A Manhattan is my favorite cocktail. Heading out soon for our Saturday morning breakfast at our favorite diner, I’m going with my usual, a Western Omelette. I had a good week on the course shooting my age of 78 twice and beating my age by 2 with a 76 on Monday. Have a great day and stay well. Rare kazu Posted May 25 #7 Share Posted May 25 Thanks for our Saturday Daily, Rich and thanks to Vanessa, Ann, Dixie & Debbie. Fabulous collection of days - I will gladly celebrate them all. There’s some truth to today’s quote 😘 Checking the weather is getting depressing - not because of the weather forecast as it should be a nice day but because of the warnings. This is yesterday’s Today’s was how to prepare for evacuation - SHEESH No appointments today - I am appointed out, believe me. So, if my back, legs and foot will co-operate I’m going to try to get some of my planters done today. I have a sort of plan in mind IF I kept a gadget Jose had that will let me sit for part of it. We’ll see how it goes. I’m sure Ivan will be a big help. LOL. This reminded me of my trip the other day into town. I swear a lot of people don’t know how to drive! Prayers for those on the Care list, those suffering losses, grief, worries, pain, health issues and those that need them 🙏. Cheers to those celebrating and cruising 🥂 28 1

Well done for still playing golf so well at 78 I sold my golf clubs 2 weeks ago after not playing for several years through my knee and hip arthritis. My best score was a 73 on a hard and long par 73 course when I was fit and playing off 7 handicap. 23

I’m still hanging in there and trying to play until I reach 80, I probably will join a great executive course we have about a mile away, all depends on my arthritis and my back, It takes me at least a half hour every morning until I’m not walking stooped over because of the back but after that it’s just about 100%. 21
StLouisCruisers Posted May 25 #14 Share Posted May 25 Good morning friends! It is Saturday afternoon in IJmuiden, Netherlands where those who are supposed to get off the Zuiderdam have finally left and new passengers are filing on. At 9:55 they had to announce 7 names and cabin numbers of some folks who were supposed to be gone and hadn’t departed. Basically said please leave the ship!🤷♀️ It was raining this morning, then stopped and now? Temp is 63 with mostly cloudy skies. Another chance of rain this afternoon. We are not planning on leaving the ship today. Thank you Rich @richwmn for today’s Fleet Report and Daily. Good days to remember and an interesting quote. Yes to the meal and wine but no to the cocktail. A tremendous day for space travel advancement. Thank you Debbie @dfish, Dixie @summer slope and Ann @cat shepard for the fine reports on food and beverages. Prayers for DB, Alex’s baby boys, the people of Israel and Ukraine, the hostages still held, and the troops in the region. Special prayers for our Care list, including Tana, Jacqui @kazu, Chuck @catmandoand Annie @marshhawk, Maurice, Richard and anyone recovering from their surgeries/procedures. Hopeful for improvement for all.🙏 Congrats to those celebrating special events this day. And to all cruising fair winds and following seas! 🚢 Thank you Vanessa @JazzyV for your list keeping work during this busy and stressful time. Happy half year birthday to Gerry @ger_77! Bon Voyage @MrSnuffleupagus! The port today is Maputo, Mozambique. This was our port before on Aug. 4, 2021, Feb. 4, 2022, and Nov. 27, 2023. I haven’t been before so have no photos to share. Here are the links if you would like to search for your pictures. Have a wonderful Saturday! Stay safe and keep well! 29
Rare puppycanducruise Posted May 25 #15 Share Posted May 25 Good morning. Thanks for the Report. Cool and breezy with a chance of rain later. Bertie and I had a walk earlier, hope we can do another before the rain. I did some gardening yesterday, I can feel it this morning. Oh well, I do enjoy it. Three interesting days. We have a lot of things made of plastic, it's hard to imagine life without it now. We don't have to "brown bag it" since retirement, but I remember making hubby's lunch and packing it in his lunch bag so he didn't have to buy lunch. I pray for missing children. Though provoking quote. The meal, the drink and the wine all sound good to me. Prayers for everyone on the Care List. Cheers for all the celebrations. Have a wonderful day. 30

Mr. Boston Posted May 25 #19 Share Posted May 25 Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily updates. We have three worthy days to observe. I’ll gladly forgo plastic utensils today. I don’t have to brown bag it anymore as I have lunch at home, it did save tons of money when I did do it. Missing children are heartbreaking for their families and we should always be aware of them. I’m with @MISTER 67 on the quote, I just don’t get it. Probably not on the meal suggestion, there’s something about orzo that I don’t enjoy. I do however enjoy a Manhattan with a Luxardo Cherry. I haven’t been to today’s port. Prayers for those on our prayer list and for those who are in need. Cheers to those who are celebrating happy events today! 29
