So basically they've expanded the indoor smoking area into once was a comfortable lounge. It's hard to believe.

I suppose they have a smoking and non smoking side. 😉

The more people drink, the looser the pockets tend to get. It definitely benefits the casino to have alcohol readily available.

I was really looking forward to spending a lot of each evening in Take 5 on our cruise next year. Bummer.

 

But if nicotine abuse will be permitted in that space, how does one get to the theater without smelling like an ashtray?

😭 The jazz in Take 5 was so nice to listen to each night. It was full most of the time, and the bar staff was great!

Are you sure? someone a few comments up said they were told smoking WOULD be allowed in the new area....

Boarded Enchanted last Saturday, June 15. The slots area in Take 5 is NON smoking.

 

Does not appear to be any space for a band/group to play. Did not notice loud ‘sounds’ coming from the slots, but also not many were utilizing the machines.

I have only walked through during the day. The machines are turned on but no one was playing the slots. It looks like 1/2 the space was taken. I see chairs but no bandstand. I will try to remember to check it tonight.

Additionally, I have seen nothing scheduled on the patters for that venue. It does still show under Dining, Bars and Lounges with hours from 5:00 PM to late.

We absolutely love Take 5, and on both ships that have it, it was full every night of our sailings! I can’t believe they’d remove it. I say this as a slot player who’s never had trouble finding a machine in the existing casinos onboard.

As this is a non smoking venue, many will prefer this venue to avoid the smoke.

Here’s a photo from the entrance near the theater. As @BamaVol said, there is no jazz or any entertainment in Take 5 on this cruise.

You're partially correct.  It's more of a sports lounge during the day.  There's a grand piano that was added sometime between this year and last, and at night, a piano player/singer playing it.  The partitioned area in the back has the card tables.  The tickers have been removed.

TBH, I'm not sure.  When we were on board in April, the card tables were non operational, but there were dealers in training.  If Princess kept the same set up then, they should be non smoking as the Double Down Bar (or previously known as the VIP Casino and Lounge) is a non smoking venue.  If you look at the Majestic Deck plans now, that area has been named the Baccarat Salon.

Hopefully not happening. Sky Princess operates a good deal from UK where the casino is not used as much. Take Five always full at night and used during day.

No tables in Take Five on the Enchanted. Technically the tables are on the non-smoking side of th casino, but they whole casino is full of smoke, because it's so small.
