Wow.... can't believe the stories of those dressed a bit casual and those tipping the glass too much.

How would you describe the Demographics.     I've never done a 3 day cruise and have always imagined them to be a young crowd Booze Cruises.   What you have been describing is what I imagined.

Yes, I would say that the crowd is definitely trending much younger. Even on the 4 night but especially on the 2 three nights.

Most people I’ve met who looked to be over retirement age have either been FLL or Miami locals sailing to celebrate a special occasion or part of a multigenerational family group with their kids and grandkids.  I’d say most of the ship is under age 50, which is VERY different from the winter Caribbean sailings I’ve done and even the summer longer itineraries.

I have noticed over the past few years that especially on the E class ships the age demographic on Celebrity has started to skew a little younger, but definitely not this dramatically.

“have my eye on a 6 night cruise in November that stops at Coco Cay (and comes with the added bonus of putting me away at sea during our presidential election, I’ll do my civic duty and vote absentee of course) that I may try with GenZ depending on how she likes E-class next month”

love this! I have booked a cruise in Europe for first 2 weeks of November. Will do early or absentee vote too! Do not want to see the drama.

Aloha. Years ago I would take short cruises and even nowhere cruises with the Mrs and sometimes my brother in law who I love dearly.  They were fun and enjoyable. Also the nowhere cruises were stopped by the government and the short cruises now attract more knuckleheads than I care to tolerate. I find longer more expensive cruises tend to lower the knucklehead population to a more tolerable number lol.

A liitle concerned about our 4 night cruise on Silhouette next Dec. ( pre holiday)  No cococay!

We booked it based on a very positive cruise critic live review by a  known poster.. .We took the same Prime Concierge Cabin as the poster.  We will have a real balcony cabin and be eligible for the luncheon.. We reserved 3 out of 4 nights in Specialty Dining...and with any  luck will not face a booze cruise crowd!   Fun yes, sloshed to the gills no!

I think no coco cay is the key.  I'm taking my mother on her first Celebrity cruise...on Reflection for 4 nights at the end of July.  We stop in Coco cay.  I'm a little concerned that it will be over the top partying like Charla has described for her last leg of her cruise.  I hope it's reflective of her 4 night leg...

We took this cruise over Memorial Day weekend but it was 3 nights. We booked Aqua Class so we dined in Blu every night. It was so much better than I thought it would be. Martini lounge cleared out by 7 which is usually when we got there. Cocoa Cay was fine. Lots of places to escape. We didn’t have any sea days so the pool wasn’t an issue. I think doing specialty dining is key for you!!!

As always, your reports are great. This one makes me kind of sad because it is so different from our TA last October on this ship. I’m feeling awful visualizing the two drunks in the Ensemble Lounge.

We were also in a suite and loved Luminae.  (Do they still have the pistachio danish?). We had such fun (it was Halloween) but it wasn’t rowdy at all. your report has completely reinforced our decision to never do a cruise that is less than a week.

It was still being served on Millennium last month.
The pistachio roll replaced the almond croissant as my breakfast pastry of choice.  After our third morning in Luminae they stopped even asking me and just placed one on my plate automatically each morning.

One of the assistant waiters in Luminae also worked mornings in the Retreat Lounge.  She made sure that there were pistachio rolls in the lounge in the mornings.

I’m rested, cleaned up and ready for one last chic night! I decided to wear one of my favorite necklaces. It’s made from the first cut of steel for Beyond’s hull and goes so well with my new Versace bag.

I can’t wait to see what kind of interesting attire choices await on the other side of my stateroom door tonight…I’ll be sure to spill all the tea later!

I have a similar necklace from EDGE..one of my favs too!

Hope the night  with your fellow cruisers is Classy not Trashy!

I thought they might have been a bit underdressed, but then I got a report that there were two ladies wearing nothing but crocheted bikinis having drinks at the martini bar.  So I guess it’s just me that didn’t get the new cruise dress code memo.

Crocheted bikinis?!?  Zoinks, Scooby!  I can’t unsee that.  I have made a note to self to leave my crocheted speedo at home.  Hats off to you, Charla, for keeping it classy in the face of various adversities.  Be them tantrum-throwing children or booze-pounding bafoons.  Still enjoying and looking forward to more mouth-watering food porn, and tasteful, chic cruise wardrobe selfies.  And, yes, please spill ALL the tea!!😁

Ugh, it was a dismal mail night on Reflection.  After two rounds of receiving my envelopes with back to back instructions, I came back after dinner to find that I have been served with my eviction luggage tags.

In more positive news…

1) Full report to come, but the outfits and general vibe on the ship was MUCH improved tonight over last night.

2) This one I’m really excited about:  folks who have been following my reviews for a while may remember a time back in 2021 when a GenX with a lower salary and much higher debt to income ratio sailed on Equinox and first set my eyes on a vintage Louis Vuitton (which stalked me onto the Edge a year later) that I couldn’t possibly reasonably afford.  A few years and a partnership at my firm later (plus a better price because this particular bag has a few pin ink marks on the inside, how DARE the careless fool who owned her first!), I’m pleased to report that this beautiful mademoiselle will be going home to STL with me!  😍

At least when I’m forced to walk off the ship on Monday, I’ll be walking off very proud of myself and everything I’ve managed to accomplish in the past few years.

So not to be a bad influence but, I have a friend who is a master crochet artist and if you send your measurements, I could probably get her to knot you up a customized speedo that says “Stem to Stern” for our 4/4/26 cruise…Jeremy may have a few questions about that as I’m packing but I’ll explain everything on the flight to Miami…just sayin 😂

Good morning!!  Where do I begin with all of this that you are giving us here?  You have pronounced so much with so few words.🤣

Firstly, may I ask that my measurements remain strictly confidential until the unveiling on board?🤣

Secondly, said unveiling shall not take place at the martini bar where previously mentioned crocheted-bikini-clad angels were reportedly perched sipping martinis.  Note to self:  Next time on board be sure to pre-check the condition of selected barstool seat prior to plopping on one.🤣

Thirdly, I shall not be persuaded to thrash in a moving glass atrium elevator go-go cage in said speedo although I am sure party-all-the-time @go.without.you would certainly approve.😜

I can already picture our DH’s shaking their heads with arms crossed.

Since there is only about 642 days remaining, I think it is time to start picking out colors of waterproof yarn samples.😉

(I hope @mac_tlc sees the 4/4/2026 cruise critic connection monstrosity he may be lending a hand in creating here.  No doubt it will be LIT.)

Cheers and please relish your final hours on board!!

Go ahead and post it, I would love to see it.

And we had a great time on that cruise. We crashed a party the 1st night and I got to wear the MVP Super Bowl Ring.

Charla, An example of Silhouette Atrium-club action reserved for 3-4 night weekend getaways….

(Although this appears far classier than bikini-clad martini bar dolls.  Note the pageant crown on far right.)

Hoping not on my Silhouette cruise.

I know it's just fun but not our style!

It is fun, but not always my style either.

At one point, I asked my DH if we could please abandon the martini bar because the noise was so incredibly overwhelming for me.  We ended up migrating to the nearly empty but peaceful and relaxing Ensemble Lounge.

I am a mere 53, but with a shall we say slightly more mature soul.  I feel like I am already to the point of evolving toward longer, port-intensive itineraries.  I may possibly find them on other lines such as Azamara, Oceania, and Holland America.
Fortunate for you Silhouette has so many little quiet places away from the loud and shouty crowds to enjoy.😉

In that same age range and had to attend a fundraising event yesterday and DH couldn’t hear anything.  He loves the social aspect but loud talking/noise now makes normal conversation hard.  🙂 I have concerns about the bar stools…I feel that one should have ample coverage of more personal areas if one wants to sit on a bar stool.  At a pool bar, with a towel, is okay but the martini bar?  Ewwwww…
