6/20/24: Double Cruise Credits for Captain's Circle Guests with Princess Cruises' New Loyalty Accelerator Program

The cheerleaders here would have you believe that Princess offers the best loyalty program. Then they go on to complain how their benefits are watered down with the new all inclusive program, it takes 3 days to get a load of laundry back, they can no longer swap the mini bar for a coffee card and now they have to buy a WiFi package instead of getting the few free minutes they previously received as they only need to check emails and print an airline boarding pass.

Princess benefits are pretty lame. With NCL, Platinum and up get two specialty dining certificates. Furthermore, a solo traveler can pair up with a like status solo and actually get four(4) specialty dinners. Plus free laundry comes back the next day.

Thanks for the reply.  This appears to be on your phone, is it in the app that we use to customize our upcoming cruises?  I looked and can't find a page that looks like that.

EDIT:  I finally found it!!  Thanks.

Absolutely.  But, Princess is a business, not a charity.  As a shareholder and also as someone who is on the loyalty programme, I'm glad that they don't give away things (SD, internet (although they give it at half price) etc) that they can charge for via the Packages but instead focus on things that are nice to have for the pax (free laundry, priority embarkation, priority tender tickets, welcome back parties and the like) which are to all intents and purposes free to deliver.

Double Cruise Credits for Captain's Circle Guests with Princess Cruises' New Loyalty Accelerator Program

Program Fast Tracks Loyalty Tier Advancement for Guests Sailing
with Princess Plus/Premier Packages

between August 1 and December 1, 2024

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 20, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Everyone loves to move up the ranks in travel loyalty programs for better rewards, and Princess Cruises today announced a new Captain's Circle Loyalty Accelerator program that offers guests double the cruise credits with the purchase of the inclusive Princess Plus and Premier Packages.

Princess guests sailing with a Princess Plus or Premier Package on voyages embarking between August 1 and December 1, 2024 will receive double the cruise credits to fast track them closer to their next loyalty tier.

"Princess Premier and Princess Plus are the best way to experience Princess and offer the best value in the vacation business," said John Padgett, Princess Cruises president. "The Loyalty Accelerator Program gives our most valued guests even more reasons to sail with our industry-leading bundles."

The Captain's Circle program features four levels:

  • Gold: After the first cruise and includes early booking offers, members-only onboard event and access to the onboard Circle Host.
  •
  • Ruby: With three cruises or 30 cruise days, everything in Gold plus exclusive access to the Captain's Circle help desk, and Princess Platinum Vacation Protection upgrade.
  •
  • Platinum: With five cruises or 50 cruise days, everything in Ruby plus 50% off MedallionNet Packages, 10% off Lotus Spa treatments, and access to Platinum and Elite Lounge.
  •
  • Elite: With 15 cruises or 150 cruise days, everything in Platinum plus 10% off at the Shops of Princess, 10% off shore excursions, priority boarding for ship-to-shore tender service, stateroom mini-bar setup, Grapevine Wine Tasting event, complimentary canapes on formal nights, afternoon tea in stateroom, laundry and shoe polish services, and priority disembarkation.
  •

Guests booking Princess Plus or Princess Premier add popular amenities like WiFi, beverages, specialty dining, desserts, fitness classes, crew gratuities and more at an even greater savings of up 65% when the inclusive package amenities are purchased separately.

More details on this exclusive Loyalty Accelerator limited-time offer can be found here: https://www.princess.com/en-us/cruise-deals-promotions/double-the-love.

No matter the cruise, Princess delivers a premium vacation with the line's award-winning, signature Princess MedallionClass experience which offers unparalleled service and personalization. All 16 ships in the Princess fleet offer well-appointed staterooms, world class dining, grand performances, award-winning casinos and entertainment, luxurious spas, imaginative experiences and boundless activities.

So, if I am blocked from booking in Personalizer pre cruise because my Sun booking says I purchased it, but did not.  Could I get this offer on board-2 credits for Plus?

Agents on chat & phone tried to connect me with supervisor but couldn’t.

My cabin mate might want Plus- who can I get through to for help?

I reported issues with customer relations and website feedback- still no fix- still blocked.

I agree 100% and I'm not a share holder for any line. However, they are the ones who started this marketing gimmick and if the benefits aren't compelling or obtainable it doesn't work. While some programs are better than others none have compelled me to put my eggs all in one basket.  Itinerary and price drive who I sail with.

We’re two weeks into August. Has anyone seen the results of double cruises/days yet?

Our were added to our profile a couple of days after the cruise ended.  Instead of just adding them to the cruise you were on, they inserted an additional line in your cruises history showing the extra cruise and extra days accrued form the promotion.

Laundry for elites back in one day ?  Mi would like to know how large their laundry room is if they have 1,000 elite travelers. One day laundry is a suite perk on Princess. Elite laundry takes 2-3 days depending on amount of elites on board

We just got off the Majestic and while I hardly ever use the laundry benefit, I sent a few items to be cleaned and/or pressed on day one.  I got all the items back on the next day and we weren’t even in a suite.  However, there were not ven 100 elite status passengers onboard,  😂

That is a very small amount of elites. We have been on many cruises where there were well over 500 sometimes close to a thousand   But good luck for you. Regardless of how long our cruises are we only pack for 7 days

solid point my wife and I were just talking about for our upcoming cruise... drive down day before, then little 5 day cruise, so basically 6 days ... clothes wise we could do 14-24-30 days with that packing list

Those are most of the cruises we do. Occasional 10-11 days but usually 14-20 still pack the same for all   The only thing we might add is heavy coats for Alaska

Yes, we prefer longer cruises too.  Maybe would feel different if we lived much closer to a port and could easily jump on for a shorter day cruise.  But for now, a 7 day or less cruise is not enticing to us.  We do prefer to pack light and one of the things i like an out Princess is that they have self service laundry on board (NCL does not) and free laundry for Elites.  Regardless of length of cruise we only bring a weeks worth of clothes.

Do you have Instagram? If so, send Princess a Private Message and they will contact you. Maybe they can help you.

Chat thoroughly went over my booking just now. I am blocked. Cannot book package online, through Princess chat or phone- must do it on the ship. I think it is the result of the changes to Sanctuary Collection and web errors. No one can help pre cruise, I am told. So, no double cruise credits for us.

For us, it's 14 days or more!  Preferably 30+ days.

I dread the day my DH speaks to any of you.

Have him talk to Debbie, for our upcoming 32 days on the Coral we will be checking 4 large bags!  And we'll have a carryon and a backpack on the flight.  Debbie likes to have "options" in wardrobe!

And, since the ship comes back to San Pedro, our home port, I would not be surprised if we need to buy another suitcase for her Hong Kong purchases!  🤣

Well, I hope they correct it on the ship for you because that’s not right. You should get the double credits.

OK .. I’m going to try my best to pack light for my next cruise, which I think you are booked on, as well.  You’d better not say anything about my clothing.  😂. JK!
It’s a tricky one because it could be hot, could be cool.  You know!
I’ll do my best but I bet I still have 3 carry on bags .. of course, only two we will carry on.

I figure cool in Victoria, who knows SF the warm in LA and SD. Have you thought about bringing your Clipper Card and running home to grab something and check the mail. We actually still have Clipper Cards even though we moved almost six years ago. Several times we have gone from the Embarcadero to Oakland for lunch while docked in SF. Why would I laugh at your clothes ?
