wcflats Posted August 18 #1 Share Posted August 18 Any comments about O,malleys Irish pub from those of you that have been there?
Mud_Shark Posted August 18 #2 Share Posted August 18 Personally, absolutely love it. Great Burger. Great onion rings or onion soup. Battered fish and chips is also solid. Not a place to go when on a diet, but I would eat there over the MDR twice per cruise, but DW isn't as big a fan. 1

Sailor75 Posted August 18 #5 Share Posted August 18 (edited) It's hard to get a table unless you're early, great food, but limited open times for lunch - just sea days. Dinner I'm at the MDR or specialty restaurants. I think O'Malleys has a band in the evenings it was very loud. dides Posted August 19 #8 Share Posted August 19 (edited) We loved the atmosphere and drinks service in O'Malley';s on Sun Princess. But the food was a complete let down for me. I love onion rings usually but these were disappointing - like something you might find in a supermarket freezer Not how they were promoted in the Princess video:below; And the fish and chips was meh- the batter was heavy when it should have been light and crispy Edited August 19 by dides 1 2
Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted August 20 #9 Share Posted August 20 It was so much fun and was definitely the lively, popular place to be each evening. The music was great.
Rare BamaVol Posted August 20 #10 Share Posted August 20 We could never get a table. But stood in the piazza outside and enjoyed the music. BTW, your title has gotten an auto parts chain jingle stuck in my head.
Rare Auntiejo Posted August 21 #11 Share Posted August 21 We really love the vibe and food. It’s small and always packed so get there early! Especially in sea day lunch - the dining window is narrow and if you get there 30 min after they open you might not get seated in time.
Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted August 21 #12 Share Posted August 21 I loved it but it was always crowded. The food was just okay but the music was great and so were the cocktails!

They have Bangers and Mash on the menu for our current Enchanted sailing. We love O'Malley's and have been there 6 times so far on our current 14-day sailing with the Premier Package. Several times for both lunch and dinner. My favorites are the onion stack, onion soup, and the burgers. My husband loves the as stew, but also enjoys the fish & chips and the bangers and mash. Forgot to mention we also love their specialty cocktails! Edited August 21 by JamieLogical

No problem.
Lorabelle Posted August 23 #18 Share Posted August 23 Too bad they don't have the stew on the Sun. I ate there twice on Enchanted and got the stew both times because it was so good the first time.

When I say 'burger, I talking beef. Medium, melted american cheese and sauteed onions. Topped off with A1 steak sauce.
