Yes, Salty dog is free...it has burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken fingers, fries and hot dogs up on the pool deck, the free pizza place is right next to that,as well. I did not notice any solo tables... but I'm sure they'll sit you at a 2 top if that's what you prefer. Salty Dog burgers in Lifo is free. Salty Dog Gastropub is not.

Treasure Hunter Posted September 4 #57 Share Posted September 4 And the reserve area won’t be full for breakfast because the full suites have the option of the suite breakfast which I believe on the Enchanted is in the Crown Grill. So unless your friends are in a Reserve mini and you are in a full suite you will likely not be eating Breakfast in the Reserve area of a MDR. On the Island it was held in Sabatinis. It is much nicer experience. Yes it is a full suite perk that you pay for.

Rare Scottdalfonso Posted September 4 Author #61 Share Posted September 4 Quick recap of last night before we walk off to check out Saint John for an hour or two. Dinner- ended up finally using one of our casual dining credits at Gigis. Minestrone soup and salad were both good, shared the plain ole Margherita pizza, it was very good. Nothing I'd write home about, but good. Could've been a little crispier, but definitely a great flavor. I think I enjoyed the 4 cheese pizza from slice late at night better..that pizza was amazing! We met a nice older couple right next to us who noticed we were from Philly from our conversation, and not only were they from Philly, but they were from a block or so where my wife grew uo and had kids that went to the same schools she did (the kids were a few years older so she ended up not knowing them) but we had a great time talking to them the whole dinner. They were on their 80th total cruisr between all the lines! For dessert, we had one of each..Tiramisu and an apple/peach pastry thing...THAT was delicious and we might go back strictly for that later. After dinner my wife was feeling a little off so she went up for the night, I went to watch the simulcast of the later Air Supply concert in Princess Live. The actual theater line was insanely long and they were cutting people off so I didn't even bother. I enjoyed watching it with a Heineken zero among some other fans in the lounge. Ended the night at the casino..played a few minutes and hit a few bonuses. Cashed out when I got to an even number and still up almost $200 on the cruise..I've only put two 20's in and sitting on about 5x that in the account right now, so nothing big but for a casual gambler like me,I'm winning! About to stroll around the container village on the port in Saint John...we forgot about the time change so we are an hour behind our planned disembark time. It's all good...we had no plans here and will likely just walk around right near the port and get back on.
Rare Scottdalfonso Posted September 4 Author #62 Share Posted September 4 Sorry...I keep slacking on taking food pics and have nome from dinner. I'm usually all about it but have been trying to not be on my phone much when we are out and about. Oh...forgot to say that right behind us at dinner was "Isaac and Gopher " so that was pretty cool

canadarocks Posted September 4 #65 Share Posted September 4 That's strange for at least the Enchanted. When I booked our reservations Capri was the Walk In and Amalfi the Reservable.

Congratulations on the casino win! On simulcasting the Air Supply concert, I have been on several music charters where they simulcast the main theater concerts to the cabins but not to the public areas (which had other events going on).

Ellipooh Posted September 5 #69 Share Posted September 5 Enjoying your posts. I’ve always wondered why Lauren Tewes never shows up for reunions, either on board or otherwise. I seems to recall that her time on “LB” ended in a minor drug-related scandal, but I would have thought all would be forgiven by now.
avonlady6390 Posted September 5 #70 Share Posted September 5 I was on a Love Boat cruise 2 years ago the Discovery it was a Mexican Riviara cruise out of San Pedro and Lauren was on it along with the rest of the cast except for Captain Stubbinig as he had already past. It was hard to get into events where the cast was had to get very early to get a seat. Covid restrictions had just lessend so the ship was at full capacity since passengers didn't have to test or wear masks.

She was with the rest of the cast in October 2022 on the Love Boat cruise. We dined next to her at the suite breakfast one morning and also attended the 360 trial with her. She was very friendly. She apparently has a very busy life back in Seattle in community theatre and she's also a chef.
Rare Scottdalfonso Posted September 5 Author #72 Share Posted September 5 Did exactly as we planned...walked around the container village right off the ship, the wandered up the street to a few souvenir shops. Then we walked a few more blocks the the city market, basically a big indoor farmers market. Had a local NA beer and wife had a local white wine, the we walked back to the ship. I tried to get a beavertail but they were really crowded so I'll try again tomorrow in Halifax. We hit the buffet for lunch, and I've decided that I hate the buffet setup. The food has been fine, but it's just really confusing to find stuff. After lunch and relaxing, we did the Captains circle party, it was nice...met the captain and he said a few words. Since we had such a late lunch, we skipped dinner and just bounced around, watched some music at the piazza, relaxed in the room and eventually went to a show at 730 in the theater. It was a juggling/comedy act...the guy was really funny and did a few good tricks. We then had some time to kill between that show and the Comedy show in the Vista lounge,so I finally got one of the giant slices of cake with my package and we shared that in the piazza while listening to the Irish music from O'Malleys. A few short minutes at the slots, not lucky tonight, and we are back in the room. Planning on taking full advantage of that elite tender priority tomorrow morning in Halifax.

Hey Scott ! Loving the blog, thanks for doing it. I'm on the 21st sailing, and that itinerary doesn't list Halifax as a tender port. Has something changed, or is it just your sailing?. I hope it isn't a tender. My wife hates tendering and I really want to get off at Halifax, to see where her father landed when he immigrated to Canada many years ago Update: looks like we are at Berth 22(Seaport) for our cruise. The Volendam will be tendering at P24TND1 that day instead. Edited September 5 by grimace95120 additional info
