Is an Old Fashioned covered under the Plus package and do they use a single large ice cube or crushed ice?  Which bar makes the best Old Fashioned (and other bourbon drinks) on Sun Princess?

I had one made yesterday on the emerald and it was made with regular ice cubes

Our DS is going on our next cruise with us. He wants to know if they make grasshoppers, I've never seen them on the menus not would imagine they could make them, they have everything to make them there. Has anyone ever tried to order on? Oh....btw..Put me down for the dirty banana 🤣

Here is what we like to drink on our Princess cruises:

That first cold beer from our mini bar as soon as we enter the cabin on our first day (the official start of the trip)

Bailey's and coffee when we wake at the IC

Lava Flows and Isaacs at the pool

Heinekens or Fosters while watching sports

whatever strikes our fancies at Good Spirits or Crooner's before lunch

Peroni's with Alfredo's Pizza, Guiness at O'Malley's or Saki with sushi

Old Fashioned, Manhattan or one of their special drinks at the PEL before dinner

Good red wine with dinner and warmed Grand Marnier after dinner

Martinis at the Show (Theater, music venues or Princess Live)

Vodka soda or bourbon presses at the casino

Seperators, White Russians or bourbon neat for a nightcap.

And it goes without saying, a LOT of water throughout the day

We also love to get recommendations from our server or bartender as they are a wealth of drink knowledge from their worldwide clientele, and they always surprise us with something new.

These may or may not all happen all in one day🤪but we usually get our money's worth out of the drink package😇

And before you ask, yes! we can mix that many types of alcohol without being sick. We are from Nevada and on vacation!

Seeing as I have them listed as one of my favorite drinks (post #11) - yes, they do make them.

They can make virtually any drink, provided they have ingredients, whether it's listed on the menu or not.  And yes, they have well stocked bars, where creme de menthe, creme de cacao, cream, etc.

My wife would say Sailing Through Orchards (on the rocks) at Crooners.

Crooners seems to make the best Extra Spicy Bloody Mary. I sometimes have a Chairman of the Board martini and, again, I seem to get the best one at Crooners. I sometimes order the 24k Margarita but... I order it "on the rocks, in a rocks glass, no salt". Having that margarita blended is just ruining a good drink and I hate martini glasses.

Other than that I tend to drink Bulleit Bourbon or Single Malt Scotch or Irish Whiskey (Red Breast if possible) straight up. (If Princess would get Bulleit Rye I would drink that straight up instead of Bourbon.)

Princess offers an amazing array of "martinis" but, it seems to me, they only use the word "martini" because they shake the drink and serve it in a martini glass. Yes, they are quite tasty but I wouldn't call them "martinis".

BBC.  Kind or similar to a Dirty Banana, except with Baileys instead of Kahlua.

The BBC is a frozen blended mixture of Baileys, banana liquor, piña colada mix, white rum, and a banana. It's served with a 'floater,' or two shots of dark rum on top.

BBC was my go to on Carnival before I graduated to Princess.

Personal favourites:

Frozen Jalapeno Margarita

Ultimate Patron Margarita

Cartagena Cool

Sandia en Fuego

Dirty Banana

Mudslide

Bahama Mama

Also recommend to try the Butterfly and Starry Night in Oslo at Good Spirits for the entertainment value 🙂 say Hi to Carmen if she's still there

I intend to TRY to order as many drinks as I can! Thank you all for telling me your favorites. I have a question: I’ll be ordering drinks at bars or venues and enjoying the ship. I have a bottle of wine to carry on. I like to drink wine on my balcony while getting ready for the evening. Would I be allowed to order 2 glasses at one time and take back to my cabin? To stockpile 😋so I don’t have to go to a bar to get another glass?
