I do see what you mean about the shading, but I think the shading just indicates a public space, as opposed to a restricted, non-public space. Does the phone app really display details correctly ?

Yes, this restaurant on Deck 8 Aft will be the Sanctuary Dining Room.

But, at the entry, on the Port side, where the curved staircase is,  that area is not shaded as part of this dining room, and could allow foot traffic to come down the hallway from the Aft elevators, to exit that first exterior door on the Port side.

 

It looks very strange, as it does not even show the right, port side, curved stairway????

But this might be the way they are going?   

None of this makes sense?   

The diagram on the App looks very strange and broken up.

The Restaurant area is like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle.

 

Wow..  Princess...  is this going to go from bad to worse???

If you need this dining area for the space for the number of guests, then how have you just blocked of so much of the space in this dining room?

 

From before and after the deck plans look identical to me, am I missing something? Just the name changes I think? (See attached screenshots of the deck plans)

Point is they can't take areas out of service until FtL. There are 4,000+ pax who need to be fed and have dinner res in each restaurant. 

 

I saw the new sign for the Sushi place. Maybe a few light fixtures changed.

I'm due to go on this ship in a few weeks. I've looked around for this and not found a conclusive answer (I guess it's on the daily 'patter'): I watched one vid from a few months ago and they said that the Lido food places (burgers, pizza, tacos) were open until 9 or 9:30pm.  Does anyone know if they're still open that late?

 

I ask b/c on pretty much every cruise I've been on, those 'quick food' places close at 5 or 6pm, but it would be nice to have the option of burgers and fries (or similar) for dinner. TIA,

Yes they are, from the patter I posted on the Live from last week - both the Lido deck (til 11pm) and the burger/pizza outlets on the Promenade deck.:

On all the other ships, Trident Grill / Salty Dog Grill and Slices / Prego Pizzeria are open until 9:00 pm on Lido Deck.

awesome thanks, I did find another scanned image but not this one.  Now it's open even later than a few months ago!

Are you sure rhe mismatched cushion in not a nap issue? Try turning the center cushion 180 degrees.

Tried that. You then have the zip showing. Upside down doesn’t work either!

They've done 2 of the shows already in the Arena and I thought they were quite good:

The Dome seats 250 & staff counted us out (fortunately). No sense waiting if you can't get in. Had to be there 1/2 hr early to see the 9:45 Blue show. Seats are quite nice. 

OMalleys has had an empty chair every time I'm there but rarely 2 empty chairs together.  Glad I'm a solo.  Musicians alternate between a piano player & typical Irish trio. 

They've shifted my dining time & restaurant 3× but this is the wake view I'm currently enjoying, hope I'm left here:

I'm on Day 5 waiting for my laundry to come back & there's only 2 washers on each floor. So glad I overpacked a little. Suggest overpacking a lot

Off to Madera & trying to find out what's going on back home.

 

Oh we are supposed to go back to Florida a day early. Hope it's for staff to clear customs / immigration

Mine's a different fabric. Maybe I should change with Espirit then our sofas can match? Doesn't really bother me i just think it is odd

You have a better deal than on the previous cruise - we only had 2 production shows over our 9 night cruise, and we didn't get the Pirates one which is the only one we wouldn't have minded watching!

Wow, a day early at FLL!   Wonder what the situation will be.   The thought of another media/influencer Frenzy day sounds likely.   There is also the three day VIP shortie, with a gap before starting the regular FLL savings.  I would hope that this would be good for avoiding the problems at Southhampton.

If anyone onboard can give any info, I would like to know more about the music and entertainment onboard.

1.  Is 'Mockingbird' the Princess House band?  I would also say party band, but I am not seeing anything that looks 'Party'.   I wonder if they will remain onboard?  It seems the band that was onboard for Europe ended their time before heading to FLL.  Didn't see Mockingbird on that last Daily Schedule.

2.  I see maybe 3 DJs.  I wonder if they are interactive, or if they just stand there and let their machine play the music set?

There are also some entertainers of Live Music, like in the Piazza, Crooners, the Dome.

Any info on these?

3.  Ombud, which of the production shows, and shows in the Dome, did you see?

Can you say more about how well you like them?

Won't be. We are arriving between 6pm and 11pm (depends on whom you ask) and there will be CPB for crew or no CPB until the morning (depends on who you ask).

 

The circus will be the media/TA cruise departing on the 9th.

I know this TA just started, but does anyone know if replay production shows throughout the week. I did see Fiera playing 3 times in 2 days.  But  if you miss it the first time around, will they play it the second week?  Or does it work like a normal week long cruise.. one day and done.

Rm 10222 is an extremely narrow room! If a sheet of paper is 8.5×11" then the hallway is 27.5". Yes the sofa cushions don't match, the middle cushion is different fabric. Also note the very different mini bar. There aren't any of the traditional bottles of alcohol. There's 6 bottles of mixed drinks instead. I don't really care as I trade it for a bottle of wine.

 

 

Closet: I hope you're tall. You'll need to be as they squeezed a few inches here by putting the bar near the ceiling and shelves below. Met up with a lady who couldn't hang her clothes. 

 

 

Balcony: VERY large. 1/2 covered, 1/2 uncovered much like Caribe balconies on Grand Class ships

 

 

Elevator: This is a definite improvement.  I selected which floor I was going to & was directed to an elevator. Once I entered the elevator there were not any buttons to select. Elevators do not stop on each floor

 

Toilets by Good Spirits: wheelchair users must make an immediate sharp u-turn to use the ADA stall. Wonder how they missed that? Doesn't affect me but suggest those who are mobility impaired find another one

 

Another trip hazard; there is slope up / down encircling the piazza. Not terribly noticeable but be aware as i watched it catch a few off guard

 

Elite Lounge is in the American Diner. There wasn't any music (ok, piped in stuff) unlike other ships

 

MDR dining changes are well broadcasted. Deck 6 with traditional 5:00 or 7:30 same table / staff dining.  Deck 7 with 2 lines: (1) with reservations & (2) without waiting on a table. Should work fine. I went to Deck 8 hoping to experience the American Diner as this is my only night without a set time.  But tonight it's just an extension of Decks 6 & 7. So a little disappointing. But I'll go back after the show tonight as it's open later then regular MDR

 

OMG the Motown Show (MOBO) !! Dancing in my seat 

 

Elite Tea tomorrow so I will post the picture when I'm in Vigo, another port stop. Will also download / answer questions (if any) 

 

 

Vegetarian menu is extremely large:

@Ombud thank you for taking us along with you on your cruise. If you happen to notice, would you please let me know if the vegan section has croissants, chocolate croissants, or vegan danishes? I love sweets, and it’s hard to find any that are dairy free. I saw a photo of those items on the sky princess, so I was hoping that they would be available on the Sun Princess too.

Mockingbird is a really good band that plays in several venues. We have seen them twice, last time on Sky Princess.
