dogboy53 Posted October 3, 2008 #126 Share Posted October 3, 2008 i could but i went there last week and i don't want it in storage,i would rather people can see it.or if i could get it on the ship itself?they could put it in a case and screw it down to the deck or display case,we dont want it to break with rough seas. cheers matt Hi Matt, You should contact P & O and ask them if they would like it to display on the ship, I'm sure they would be interested. Maybe our contact at P & O could make some enquiries for you. Don

Whoey Posted October 6, 2008 #129 Share Posted October 6, 2008 I also think it would be great if you donated it to P&O, that way they could display it onboard. They might give you a free cruise in return - you never know :)

Skyrules Posted October 19, 2008 #142 Share Posted October 19, 2008 man this site is slow today,no there is a sugar model of the p/d on the dawn her self.i have a photo that i took when i went on the tour last year, you can see the difference. cheers matt It has either dissolved or they have it locked away somewhere, as we didn't see it on PD when we were onboard in September. There was also a sugar model of Pacific Sky on board Pacific Sky. Seemed to be the thing to do at one stage. The Pacifc Sky one, displaying her as she was when built as Fairsky, was a fairly accurate representation. Unfortunately, I can't find a photo of it, thought I had one, but it's not on the disk of photo's from that cruise. This one of Pacific Dawn looks more like a stylised/cartoon model. Your model is certainly a much better representation Matt. Kym

kaseyoz Posted October 22, 2008 #145 Share Posted October 22, 2008 I am home sick and watching more daytime tv. I was actually watching "Ripleys believe it or not". They had a guy on who had made a replica of the White House right down to working lights and handmade carpets. You couldnt tell which was a photo of the real thing and which was the model. He did say how many chairs he had made just to get one right. It was amazing. Your attention to detail is also amazing, will you be having it shown somewhere it would be a shame to only have it on your dining room table!!
