Thank you for remembering me.......Yes, I did host the all-ship cocktail party "Tickled Pink" We had such a magical, wonderful Pride 2006 TA Crossing ~Capt. Toenis T. was our Master ~and we had so many fun, 'seasoned Seabournites on the Crossing! I took 375 button/pins, delivered them to all the Depts. ~everyone aboard wore one ~do you remember the pink M&M candies I passed at the party? And our canapes were all pink ~

I won't be joining you on the Quest as I've booked several cruises for 2012 on the 'Lit Sister ships ~they are still my favorites ~perhaps we'll sail together again ~I hope so!

Yes I do indeed remember the all pink M&Ms and the Canapes ...... but not only that ... In the evening my main meal came accompanied with rice ..... and yes that was Pink too. ..... How on earth did you manage that ;)

Yes, our dinner was 'laced with pink food items ~Deborah Natansohn was our President then ~we visited about the canapes and foods that we'd serve on our"Tickled" Crossing. She ask Tony Egger, Seabourn's Corp Chef, to work with the Pride's Ex. Chef, Pascal De Portemont, and they planned our foods. I remember "Mr G" (Guillaume) was the Maitre'D ~ The Pink cocktail "affair" was March 22nd ~my Father's birthday! What a fun time we had ~I believe the entire ship's manifest attended. Capt. TT told me I looked just like a flamingo :eek:~ I wore pink feathers that evening! Carumba!

Looking forward to sailing with you ~perhaps in 2012!

I know you have enjoyed sharing this West Texas recipe ~~

Would you like to post my recipe for "Seabourn Sailors Fudge?"

I took a "batch" aboard the Pride one Christmas (Caribbean) ~each piece was wrapped in foil ~ (I bake/cook with pecan halves, from my pecan yard trees) The Bridge Boy's loved the fudge ~~I had the Purser make copies of the easy recipe ~Cheffy wanted to make some for the Crew.......but, the fudge is made with Kraft Velvetta Cheese :confused: NO Velvetta in the Caribbean.......he finally found it in St Thomas and made the Christmas fudge for the Crew Mess ~~

The fudge has almost become a December ritual on the 'lit Sisters.

The fudge is soooo tasty and creamy ~easy and quick~ I recommend wrapping each piece in foil ~place in tin or tupperware and keep in fridge. Lasts forever!:p

I love the fudge recipe. But I can't see wasting all that time wrapping it in single pieces when I am going to eat it all, anyway!!

"Seabourn Sailor's Fudge (A nice gift to take to your housekeeper)

 

1 box (8 oz.) Velveeta Cheese

1 c. butter

2 lbs (2 box's) powered sugar

1/2 c. cocoa (not the mix)

2 t. vanilla

1 c. chopped pecans (optional for me)

 

Melt cheese and butter in Microwave for 1 1/2 min,'s (until melted) in a large mixing bowl. Gradually add the powered sugar and the cocoa (I mix these together) Add vanilla and nuts. Spread in a buttered 13X9 pan. Chill

 

VOLIA! This is THE best fudge recipe I have ever had! And so quick and easy!

(helps if your pecans are fresh home grown)

 

And it is wonderful~and so easy~"

The fudge is also a nice hostess or birthday gift anytime of the year ~ I wrap the pieces in foil or saran wrap, then place in a "tin" ~tie colorful ribbons around the tin ~"who" wouldn't enjoy homemade fudge? (the foil makes it easier to pack into containers) This recipe makes alot ~I use a large 9X11 oblong pyrex dish.

The recipe is strange......but it is delicious!

'Just writing about it, makes me hungry for good 'ole fudge!:confused:

I suppose a country that can have heinz tomato soup cake and helman mayonasie cake can get away with velvetta cheese fudge:D After all velvetta cheese is mostly creamy not cheesey and philly cream cheese makes wonderful deserts, my sister in laws philly cheesecake is to die for.

I have actually sailed on the Carnival Legend, and while we all know what it isn't, I found the service excellent and it was clean beyond belief. The decor was tacky, but hey. And I liked their room service sandwiches.
