    My daughter who has celiac, recently spent a week in Melbourne on business, and had no trouble finding GF menus, and said the food down under was amazing!

    I was on the Discovery last year for Halloween and the decorations were minimal. I thought the ship would be decked out, but no. Are you having a Halloween Disco Deck Party tonight? That was fun.

    When I flew Air New Zealand to Fiji we were in economy, but the service and all -inclusive amenities were definitely comparable to First Class. Except of course the seat width, but still very comfortable.

    I flew ANZ quite a while back with my ex-husband on a trip to Turtle Island in Fiji. They are wonderful! My steward told me that in part their excellent service was due to paying a living wage, where one could actually support a family on what they were paid.

    Haha, I was going to comment on the crunchy pillows on the inaugural cruise but caught so much heat for saying the mattresses were hard as rocks, I decided to refrain! Thanks @MsSoCalCruiser for backing me up!!

    Ughhh, bad news for me. I love the Discovery and San Pedro is my home port. Wonder what ship will take its place?

    I was on the inaugural cruise, had my bed configured as a queen and did not ask for a mattress topper. I have a high tolerance to pain, haha!

    I always book when cruises are released as I get a good pick of cabins as well as a good fare.

    When I first met him he was the youngest Maitre'd in the fleet, 37 I believe.

    Yes, and you will also get wheelchair assistance once you board. You will wait with the other "wheelchair people" and have priority boarding. The process is seamless. The difficult part is once on board and trying to navigate the narrow hallways with the services carts blocking the way, and some not so nice people on the elevators who don't want you on them.
