  1. Wow.. Even more odd they gave you partial refund. Love gift horses
  2. thx for the info. so it seems the epic and sun bills at the end of each leg. Anyone else have experience on other ncl ships that bill at the end of each leg of a b2b?
  3. why did it get canceled? how did you get your $ back since i'm assuming it was canceled past final payment? and congrats on your free cruise!
  4. interesting.. so it sounds like only the Epic is billing at the end of each leg since i've done multiple b2b cruises on ncl since march and they all kept my acct open. (it was treated as one long cruise) thx!
  5. I'm currently on the Epic. Someone who is doing a b2b got a letter saying there's a change to b2b billing. I did a b2b in Nov. Billing was as if it's one long cruise. Now, your acct is closed and credit card changed at the end of each leg. That sucks for me since I get $400 obc for each cruise. So a b2b is $800 obc. Now I'm forced to spend it each leg. So if I do lots of excursions the 1st leg and go over the $400 But do nothing on the 2nd leg, then I'm out of pocket for the difference and waste the obc on junk the 2nd leg 😞
  6. yeah, for the price i paid for this cruise, it's great. saw Pricilla, queen of the dessert. then it was canceled the next night because rough seas. now i'm reading it's not coming back at all. the license for Pricilla has not been renewed by ncl. 😮 glad i managed to see it. first they replaced blue man group 5 years with Pricilla. i'm reading they are replacing Pricilla with SIX. so breakaway, bliss, and epic will now have that show.
  7. I'm currently on the Epic. Originally, there were 2 ports: Azores island and Bermuda Azores got canceled because of a possible 1 day strike by the harbor pilots on embarkation day. so ncl moved the departure from 4pm to 2am. (no idea if the strike happened.) because of the 10hr delay, Azores got canceled. We're getting $10 in obc for the port fees. I'm assuming the rest is to pay for staying docked in Lisbon 10hrs longer? And there's the kicker: the $10 obc is not automatic! I read that you had to complain at guest services. 😮 Now the capt just announced that Bermuda is being canceled because the ship couldnt maintain speed in the rough seas. we were going to arrive in Bermuda 3-4hrs late. We're going to be receiving a letter tonite explaining everything plus some obc. i paid $118 in port fees. How much is Bermuda's portion of that? edit: the obc for missing bermuda is $100 for guest 1 and $100 for guest 2. i rather hve cash tho because i have plenty of obc because no shore excursions 😞
  8. I'm currently on the Epic, day7 of 9day cruise. On the Breakaway, Getaway and Joy, you hit the top prize in the Bonus round every 6-10 bonuses, which is about once every 45min - 1`hr. I've never hit the top prize on the EPIC, and i spoke to people who sat at the same place for 3hrs and also never hit it. 😮 (Note: on the Epic, there are 2 types of coin pusher machines: Dancing Queen and Las Vegas. The Las vegas one does give 50 coins at least once per hr, if you gamble for it.)
  9. it is now my favorite drink. better than a Patron margarita (no salt) and gives more of a buzz 😮
  10. was informed by the bartender there's also a french 75, which is the same except with gin. and there's a sparkling garden: vodka, elder flower liquor, pineapple and lime juice, agave syrup, prosecco. i liked sparkling garden the best. also more of a buzz because vodka 😮
  11. I think everyone should write this when they adjust their dsc, especially 'thx Del Rio' 🙂
  12. this? i had it with soda water. tasted horrible. then i had it straight with ice. what do you mix it with??
  13. No idea about reimbursement. I usually don't prepay.
  14. Ncl raising the cabin tips from $16/day to $20/day starting jan1. 😮 Anyway to gleam from Q1 results in April 2023 as to whether ncl is actually giving this 25% increase to the crew or keeping it as cash on hand?
  15. I've done partial removal pre covid. I gave cash to the room steward. The form asked for a reason for modifying the dsc. Reason: gave cash Have not done it since cruise restart. But I might lower it to $10/day. '"Reason: $20/day dsc too high. Thought $10/day is adaquate and was too lazy to modify Even though the default dsc kept raising. But $20/day spurred me into action. Thx Del Rio." 😄 Interesting note: Celebrity does not allow partial removal. It's either all or none.
  16. Whoops.. meant the buffet. Forgot Cagney's also has prime rib. And chill... Was More curious why since all the ncl cruises that I can remember served prime rib in the buffet on day1. But this is this my 1st ncl cruise that didn't originate from a US port so I thought that might have been the reason. Apparently nope
  17. Thx. So I guess its something to ask during the Sr officers q&a.
  18. Can you take pics of the casino? Want to see if they installed newer slots?
  19. It was turkey. 😞 Maybe prime rib on 1st night is only debarkation from US ports?
  20. Yes. Now my question is why are they raising the rates by such a huge percentage (25%)? Is the union agreement that covers these workers for ALL cruise lines raising their pay by 25% starting Jan 2023?
  21. has the minimum pay for cabin stewards/restaurant workers been raised for 2023 by a lot? hence the need for ncl to raise our cabin tip rate? (i'm assuming our cabin tips bring non-officer salaries up to the minimum by the general union contract covering all cruise lines)
  22. can you take some pictures/video of the casino slot machines? want to see the kind of variety of slots. thx
  23. tendering in cozumel? all 7 piers are occupied? so at least 8 cruise ships in port that day? 😮
  24. So the slot tourneys used to be $25 for $500 prize. (I never played.) Then it went up to $30 and I thought even worse value. Then they added this free $100k super tournament for those winners. Ahh.. so that's where the extra $5 went to. Cool
