Made it to my hotel. No problems with the rotunda. Used the crosswalks. The mosaic tile sideways were a pain. It was hard to push my spinner luggage. It was easier dragging my luggage. Also, glad it was downhill. I would not walk back to the airport if I was doing a round trip flight. Dragging my luggage with backpack on top for a mile was tiring on my arm. I can only imagine going up hill. I would take the bus (3 or 4 stops) instead

i was on the breakaway 2 weeks ago. it's e-muster. you have to watch the safety video on your room tv then go to the muster station. they'll just scan your card. if you dont watch the video on your room tv, they'll go through the lifejacket presentation then they'll scan your card. (the couple in front of me couldnt turn on their tv thus had to go though the short live presentation)

($100 off shorex instead of $50). else paying the slight upcharge over the normal beverage package is more economical, especially if the 2nd person in the room doesnt drink as heavily. and when i was on the Breakaway 2 weeks ago, they did not have Don Julio at the casino bar. the best was patron anejo and cazadores anejo. edit: you can trade in your 150 free internet minutes for $100 credit to upgrade to non-streaming unlimited ($30/day). upgrade on day 2: 30 x 6 days = 180 - 100 = 80 80/6 = $13.33/day to upgrade and if you have obc, it's better to upgrade on onboard. you cant use obc if you buy pre-cruise

i made my reservations with a person in casinos at sea. i got this 3 days after i satisfied the $1k threshold: Dec 1 Credit USD RESERVATION CORAL GABLES -$350.00 never got the congrats email from amex. now i have an annoying $80 credit on my acct. the $350 credit is $80 more than the last cruise i booked. and i dont plan on using the credit card again till another promo. so i'll automatically get a check in 2-3 months because amex doesnt like wasting $ sending my statements where they're not making $

I either get the congrats email immediately after I've satisfied the offer or I don't get one at all, then I just wait till I get my bill. Only 1 time did I have a problem when I didn't get the congrats email and it was for like $10. $350 makes it worth the effort to find out now

booked another free casino cruise yesterday and finally got over the $1000 threshold. (admin fees, port fees/taxes) but havent gotten the "congratulations" email from Amex yet? normally when i reach the threshold of their offer, i get a "congratulations" email that same day. Hopefully i get it tomorrow.

is this a different burn the floor than the one on Breakaway or Gem?

ahh.. only if a band member is out do they play the pre-recorded track? do they only play the drummer's track and the remaining band members are live? hm.. wonder how the show would sound without drums? and yes, introducing the drummer who is clearly missing is odd. they probably should have announced the drummer is out and they're using a pre-recorded track only of her drums so the show doesnt get canceled and disappoint the passengers.

Pre-covid, I read you can make changes with $50 penalty. Was that elimated? Also read that if you had a Costco membership, you could make changes for free. Do a search for those threads?

i'm on the 2nd leg of my Breakaway b2b and i saw Six again last nite. I've seen it twice the 1st leg of the cruise. It's my favorite show on NCL. this time The drummer was out for some reason. When they introduced the band after their introduction song, each band member played a few notes on their instruments. They still introduced the drummer AND THERE WERE SOUNDS FROM THE DRUMS even though noone was sitting there!?! 🥴 pre-recorded tracks? And at the end of the show, they encouraged the audience to applaud the band and named each band member, and again included the missing drummer. That cinched it for me the fact that the entire show was pre-recorded. If it werent pre-recorded tracks, they could have easily skipped over the missing drummer. So are ALL the ncl Broadway shows pre-recorded and lip syncing? heck, are all the production shows pre-recorded and lip syncing? Note: I still enjoyed the show and it's still my favorite show.

Around 2016 I was talking with a member of the cruise director staff. She said all officers can eat at the buffet. And since she's considered a 1/2 strip officer, so can she. I have no doubt that she has eaten at the buffet without getting in trouble. But her statement seems contradictory to replies in this thread saying the old ways didn't allow some officers in the buffet. Was she allowed to eat at the buffet because she's part of the cruise director staff and not because she's an officer?

my 14day cruise earlier this month and upgraded to unlimited on day #2: trade in value for 300min is only $145. 😞 (trade in value for 150min is $100) but instead of the $30/day upgrade price for shorter cruises, it's $25/day for longer cruises. so basically same $ per day price with trade in.
