  1. I did it on a solo cruise, and it was worth it. But I would have purchased internet anyway. For 2 or more, hard to justifly.
  2. The best thing about the package is, not having to wait to get and sign the slip. Order, get drink, walk away
  3. There are suite people and there are other people. Welcome to the ranks of the suite people 😄
  4. The rule is not a cruise line or US rule, it is the rule of the country visited. Many countries, that do not require a visa, have the 6 month rule, along with a 90 day maximum stay. So that way, they make sure you can leave and go home. They don't want your passport to expire while you are in their country.
  5. Can two people share a single internet plan? I understand not at the same time, but can one person log out and other log on? We both need access, but not at the same time. Thanks
  6. Many times RCI cruiser on first Carnival cruise (Legend Baltimore to Barcelona). Booked an OS Suite. Trying to figure what is included and what is specific for suite occupants?? Thanks. Could not pass up the offer, my friend got an offer that started at $5 (yes FIVE DOLLARS) per person for an interior.
  7. But you get 4 - 5 or 6 drink vouchers at the Diamond level or higher.
  8. My TA gives me OBC from her commission, so get a "deal" on suites.
  9. One exactly the same cruise? If not, you can't compare due to dynamic pricing.
  10. Yes, I have been to Argentina. 3 times. The last time, you are right, the ATMs were not the answer, because the money changers on Ave Florida had the best rates if you brought US cash. As for otehr countries, I have only been to another 153, so you may have more experience that me. I am not talking about YOUR bank charging, I am talking about the FOREIGN ATM charging. I have two debit cards that do not charge me for foreign ATM use. I am not sure about the other one, as I don't carry that debit card around. FYI, I have internet access in most countries you are likely to want to visit, and many you don't with T-Mobile. Or you can plan ahead and download the maps on your phone using MapsMe. But I don't think I have ever used my phone to find an ATM, they are just about everywhere.
  11. Except the last night, you could stay up to midnight and use your drinks from the last day. Hard to hit 4 - 5 -6 drinks on embarkation day. 😄
  12. I still would like to get a Grandeur block. Most of my cruises have been on her. Was all set to earn my first one on her, but both of us tested positive to COVID so could not get to Barbados, not to mention to get on the ship if we got there.
  13. Huh? Where have you been the last 3 or more years?? 😄 You can carry on 12 non-alcoholic drinks per person, up to 17 ounces each. Plus one 750 ml bottle of wine per adult.
  14. I did a LOT of international travel. I have never seen a foreign ATM that FORCED a bad rate. They offer it, in LARGE FONT, but in the corner is a small link to deline. And I find, that unlike US ATMs, very few foreign ATMs charge a fee. If you do find one, most likely there one right next to it or close by that does not. ALL foreign ATMs I have run across have internet access. Even in third world countries.
  15. HUH??? Most of the ships MAKE distilled water. That is a part comes out your bathroom tap.
  16. I did two on Vision last year and agree with you. Did the FLL to Balt repo and a Dec 8 night.
  17. It existed well before COVID. Any why it is amusing? Would you drink from a cup or glass that was used by a stranger????
  18. Hmm, wonder if it state by state. My FIL had a grocery store. So I used to check gthe dates to remove them. I always liked that sour cream had a sell by. What's it going do, go sour????
  19. BEST rate is an ATM in the country where you use that money.
  20. Only if his account was linked to the parents. That may not occur automatically.
  21. OMG, I now need to go to the UK to exchange all the pound notes I have saved. Darn, I hate when that happens. 😄
  22. Not for dairy. Dairy has a "Sell By" date and should be good for 10 days after the Sell By it kept in a fridge at the proper temperature. Another way to make the cooler work better is to prop the door open. It moves heat from inside to the outside. With the door closed, it gets very warm in the enclosure, so the heat moves back into the cooler.
  23. No, the reason was, if you went to the beach at a port and waited until most people left, there would be hundreds of blue RCI towels left on the beach. They went to checking them in and out so people would bring them back to the ship.
  24. I have no trouble with the smaller portions. If I want more, I ask and they serve it. I think the food quality is about the same (first cruise was 2014). Pretty good, sometimes great, sometimes just OK. I do sometimes have an issue with what they call a dish versus was it served. Like last cruise "tortilla soup" what was slightly spicy tomato soup with some crumbled up corn chips. NOPE. As for drink prices, they are up in restaurants on land. As are food prices. It is difficult to go out to dinner for 2 with one drink each for under $100. Breakfast, with no alcoholic drinks or even juice, is $30+ for 2. Try to get a hotel room for less than $100 a night these days, even under $200 in some areas. Cruising is cheap compared.
  25. It make take some time on the phone with them. They managed to mix up and combine my ex-wife's and GF's accounts. It took my ex over 3 hours on the phone to get her account fixed. Then it took me over 3 hours to fix GFs account. And that required creating a new account for her.
