Yes. When I started playing BJ in Vegas about 20 years ago, the rules were very player friendly. House odds were less than 1%. About the only big house edge was dealer hitting soft 17.
Now, no early surrender, 6:5 BJ payout, the house edge is probably doubled.
But I play for fun. I learned to count, but I can't count and play properly at the same time. 😄 But when I was learning counting, we were waiting for a show, so I was watching a table from the start of the shoe. The entire play of that shoe was house positive count, but the players all were winning constantly. Counting does not mean you will win. It just means the odds are slightly in YOUR favor.
