So you think there is a pool long enough to swim lengths? I really hope your right, but I have never been on a ship with a pool long enough to actually swim. The sliding roof pool maybe OK, but it looks like one end has stairs the whole width.

Even if you find a cruise for 1, sometimes the higher level cabin selections show sold out. I wanted to try the YC, and did find/book one that took a single in a YC, but it's next May.
If you have (and pd for you cruise with) a premium CC, the trip cancellation/interruption/medical/lost bag insurance is pretty good. I use Chase Sapphire Reserve or Amex Hilton Aspire.
