  1. Nice! I’ve been looking forward to this. The beach club was nice but still has splashing screaming kids in the pool so this will check all options. When is your cruise?
  2. Right? Especially if your cabin faces the port! We got in early once around 9pm the night before debarkation and it was hard to stay on the ship. I just wanted to go home at that point.
  3. That would probably practically empty most ships 😂
  4. I’d think he was just tired of having to listen to all the complaints after people got it and figured he’d save himself the trouble by not recommending it. Then if you still order it you’d be less likely to complain to him since he recommended you didn’t. At least that’s what I’d do in his position.
  5. Which did you find strange? The honesty of the waiter who probably hears 99.9% of customers complain that there’s little to no lobster in the lobster Mac n cheese or that RC would skimp on lobster in the lobster Mac and cheese to save $$$?
  6. I guess it depends on what’s important to you. I like Molly above don’t care about being on deck 17. I actually like deck 8 the best. Balconies and bathrooms are important to me so that’s why I was disappointed in the GS. The interior of the cabin was lovely. I just really was very disappointed in the balcony and the bathroom.
  7. Then I’d go for it! I wouldn’t count on RoyalUp. I don’t think any of the CL suites balconies are very big but they are at least deep enough for the loungers to face the water. In the GS the balconies are just about double the length of a regular balcony but the same width so loungers have to be placed sideways and it feels very cramped.
  8. This is a great point. If there are no side CL suites available I’d keep the GS and bid on an OS.
  9. Too bad. RoyalUp is a long shot. Like playing the lottery. I’d say for $800 I’d do the upgrade. I was so disappointed in the balcony and the bathroom of the GS. If the JR suite came with all the suite perks I would’ve been happier with it than the GS.
  10. Is the OS available? I think it’s so much better than the GS or the CL.
  11. I’d like to just edit to DON’T BLOW YOUR NOSE AT THE TABLE! Period. It’s a completely disgusting thing to do while people are eating. I’m amazed that people have made it into adulthood and haven’t grasped that basic decorum.
  12. I have sailed out of Cape Liberty a lot and they don’t check or care about arrival times. Show up whenever you want, everyone else does.
  13. He should’ve excused himself from the table and went somewhere private or in the restroom to blow his nose. That’s a disgusting thing to do while people are eating. Manners 101!
  14. We just did Liberty and after many cruises on the big girls I found myself a little bored. I’d definitely stick to Oasis although we did have a Jr suite on Liberty and I really liked the cabin and the balcony.
  15. October Oasis is $359 for all locations but they’re sold out. I paid 199 a few months ago for SB.
  16. But on a ship your cost of food was already factored into your fare so while you’re eating those wings you’re not eating the same amount of food already factored into the fare.
  17. My upcoming 7 night Oasis is bouncing between $72.99 and $77.99 so I’d assume a 3 night would be higher and closer to $90 and nowhere near $65.
  18. Prices are about 80% higher than what I’m used to paying for an oceanview balcony for cruises out of Cape Liberty. I won’t be booking anymore cruises until prices come down. We cruise this October and paid about 20% more than usual and that’s my limit. I have nothing else booked and will explore other vacation options.
  19. Maybe it’ll be more like Wicked. That would be future forward.
  20. I was very satisfied with MDR on Liberty in May. We hadn’t used the traditional MDR option in years and decided to give it a go again. I realized how much I enjoy that. Just walking to the table and having the same waitstaff each time was enjoyable. I never have high gourmet expectations of MDR food but sort of consider it like wedding or banquet food. When you’re feeding thousands you’re not going to get gourmet. I would give the food 8/10, the service 10/10 and the menu selection 8/10. Everything I chose was good temperature and tasty. Never had an issue finding selections to eat and I liked the smaller portions. I’d just order 2 starters and one entree with dessert and it was more than enough food.
  21. So the short answer is no it won’t give you some escape from the mobs. Hope this helps!
  22. Vibe and RC Solariums are not really comparable. Vibe is much more exclusive than the Solariums.
  23. You are extremely lucky you never had an issue. I’m sure there’s a lot of parents out there that wish they had a due over. There’s a big difference between 13-17 year olds and 3-12 year olds. Kids can learn independence and situational awareness at older ages when they’re more prepared to deal with the consequences of their mistakes. The idea that your kids will only grow up to be independent and confident adults is if you allow them free range at young ages is ridiculous.
