Good for you. We all have our own ideas of safety -
Kids on their own on the boat - 10 yr old

I’d treat the ship like you would any town or neighborhood. With the amount of people on the ships there’s bound to be bad apples among them. Crimes do occur on cruise ships and I’m sure they aren’t all made public.- 96 replies

PAYING for Pizza in Sorrento’s
Jerseygirl1416 replied to Slidell_Cruiser's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I love pizza. I’ll even eat bad pizza but RC pizza never sits right with me. It always give me indigestion. Idk what’s in their pizza that does that but I definitely wouldn’t pay for it. -
My vote is for South Beach too.

It would depend on what ship you’re sailing on. Oasis class and I think Quantum class yes all others no.

Liberty OTS - June 27-August 4

I totally agree with you on the main dining room food. I found it to be delicious for the most part and Windjammer food was better than Oasis imo. I’m glad they got debarking under control. It was a mess in May. Glad you enjoyed your vacation. Thanks for the review 😊 -

$131.99 on Oasis in October -
I have global entry and have never been in security line more than 10 minutes. In fact I never have time to completely stop to get out my ID before getting to the agent.

I’ve never had a problem with EWR. It got a little crazy the last year or so with the new construction but usually I find it so easy.

Homewood Suites properties have 2 bedroom suites that have a pullout couch too. One bedroom usually has a king and the second 2 doubles then a pullout couch in the “living room” area.

So now I’m a little nervous for you. I think you’re taking a huge gamble with same day travel especially with how unstable flights have been lately. I think you should definitely research hotels to fit your needs. I had 3 sons and they reached the age where they refused to share beds so I would look for hotels that had 2 bed options and a pullout couch. Then I’d call the hotel and ask if they had rollaways. Most do. That gave them all their own bed. If driving I would drag along an aerobed🙄.

United has pretty much squeezed lots of airlines out. I was super annoyed when they forced Southwest out but if you’re flying United it’s an easy airport.

Nothing wrong with EWR

EWR absolutely. I wouldn’t fly out of LGA for any reason even to save $$$$. It’s a 💩show on a good day.

Best Way/Time to try to Upgrade to a Suite
Jerseygirl1416 replied to bgregan's topic in Royal Caribbean International
On Oasis they have two padded loungers crammed parallel to the ocean side by side which barely fit even like that so the chairs with the ottomans would be a great improvement! And I forgot about the bathroom situation. It’s bad and dated and definitely needs to be replaced. -
Don't assume...read the information

With all the issues you had with this booking, I truly believe you weren’t supposed to be on that cruise. I think you or someone you were traveling with were saved from something that may have happened on that trip. That’s just the way I see things. I really hope you get all your money back! -
Best Way/Time to try to Upgrade to a Suite

The Owners Suite is so much better imo than the GS and the CLS. Full disclosure- never stayed in a CLS but the stairs and the balcony are turn offs for me. The GS balcony is too cramped feeling. OS just perfect 🤩 -

Jr. Suite perks on Liberty
Jerseygirl1416 replied to RCCLNYMETS41's topic in Royal Caribbean International
It will be a nice surprise for your wife! Was in a JR suite on Liberty in May on deck 9 and it was a good sized cabin. The walk in closet was a bonus. The bathroom was bigger than a regular balcony cabin with a full size tub and the balcony was large with nice padded loungers and table and chairs that you can eat at. Deck 9 was a convenient location too. Was able to avoid elevators most of the time. Have a great time! -

Cape Liberty Debarkation
Jerseygirl1416 replied to ReneeFLL's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Liberty debarkation self assist was a total ***** show and we didn’t get off until 8:45 even though we were in line since 6:45ish. But even in that scenario you’d make an 11am flight at Newark. Oasis is much better debarking at Cape Liberty. Usually off by 7am so maybe Jewel will be better than Liberty. -
Royal Caribbean, A Lie is a Lie
Jerseygirl1416 replied to SailorMarg's topic in Royal Caribbean International
There was an older couple next to us in the dining room at breakfast on Liberty in May. The man asked what was in the carafe on the table and the waiter told him milk. He asked for half and half and the waiter brought him the little plastic single serve half and half packages and the man insisted that it wasn’t half and half even though I could clearly read it from where I was sitting so he told the waiter again he wanted half and half so the waiter brought another carafe which I assume was just milk again and the man used it and that was the end of that. I feel for the employees with all this drama over dairy! -
For free in the Windjammer (the buffet). And tell him they have the worlds best chicken fingers there too!
