  1. Read the fine print We usually get coverage that covers us from the time we leave out Province to when we return But we do not buy from the cruise lines
  2. Hasn't been that way for a long time??
  3. Since you live in Florida why not take one of the O ships from Miami A bit bigger cabins but still a small ship compared to some these days If you have DONE the Caribbean then it will give you time to relax & enjoy the ship Entertainment is low key on Oceania Try it then decide
  4. Maybe not on that cruise but on other cruises down the road ..it sets a precedent 😉
  5. Maybe you will not test positive at all Maybe you will while on the ship then be confined to your cabin Travelling with covid spreading you will take a chance either way I would stop stressing test before you get on the flight then test before boarding the ship in the required time frame Do not forget the get the eTA & fill out the ARRIVECAN forms https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/eta/apply.html https://www.canada.ca/en/border-services-agency/services/arrivecan.html
  6. It changes daily they have a few items that are "Always Available " You can view some menus at the Preismans blog https://www.thepreismans.com/riviera_21_menus.htm#canyon
  7. I have not seen any carry on bag fit under any airline seat unless it is a small tote bag which may hold meds & essentials plus a change of under garments 🤔
  8. I would not travel then no one knows who will test positive & who will be fine It is a chance you take when you travel or even just leave the security of your own space
  9. Very strange since they share the same kitchen space but glad your DW got her meal OK Not ideal but you could have dined in your suite where your DW could order from either restaurant without a hassle I hope the manager was not looking for the secret handshake as other managers have been fired over that issue in the past
  10. Yes many times we have had to gate check our carry on (I usually have a small one with meds/computer ) while others have large bags that exceed the measurements for carry on size We will sometime check our larger carry on which sort of defeats the purpose but it is just less hassle for us
  11. Never had a problem linking our friends dinner res with ours in the Specialties O has that option when you book to "Invite " others My friends also have their own agent they like It is not like other lines with set dining where you may need to link your bookings to se able to get the same table in the dining room JMO
  12. it can be done with careful planning & doing laundry If the ship has self serve laundry room you will be fine You can always wash in the sink small things & hang in the shower Agree with BROBERTS ..Tilley have some good wash n wear option even Mark's & Chico's for women
  13. I would shop around you can get your Gratuities covered & an OBC at minimum from a TA You would need to transfer the booking within 30 days of when you booked though You can DIY the hotels etc Others will have more info on why to use an O connected TA JMO Lyn
  14. Or maybe just poorly trained kitchen staff We have had meh food on the O class ships in the Terrace as well Same in the Specialties DH was served raw chicken skewers in Red Ginger & Bad Dover sole in Jacques took me months to get him back on Oceania ☹️ I am sure you will have a memorable ATW cruise 😉
  15. Ok but I was discussing the food in the terrace People that have sailed on the R ships either love em or hate em but they are what they are If you sail on them you accept them warts & all 😉
  16. Hal ships is much larger more PAX 2600 R ship under 700 Go for the itinerary & what ticks the most boxes for YOU If you can fit in a short cruise on both ships try that before you commit to a longer cruise
  17. Interesting We have sailed on the R ships many times mainly Insignia & Regatta I found it depends on who is doing the cooking and when the new pans of food are brought out Many times we noticed the hot pans in the buffet had no heat (hot water) under them to keep the food warm same as the O class ships Depends when they bring the new tray of food from the kitchen if it will be hot or luke warm I have asked a few times if they could get freshly cooked items from the kitchen if the pan is getting close to empty If you do not tell the Chef they will just continue to serve mediocre food JMO
  18. Is this document needed to board the ship or for Arrivecan? If for the cruise contact the cruise line send them a copy if you can I suspect it will be fine but I am not incharge Some Provinces just do things differently I guess
  19. Seriously ??🙄 I think most of us are pretty easy going
  20. If the price drop for sure ask your TA to get the new price It usually says "for new bookings only" but most TA's can get the new pricing IME Some will even get the new deal after FP Does not hurt to ask JMO
  21. Just noticed this post Can you clarify? Do you want more formal nights??
  22. Usually the shuttles are run by the Port authority
  23. It is in the Upcoming refurb For aficionados of dining alfresco, there will be even more options to delight in. In addition to the leisurely seaside-inspired retreat that is the Terrace Café and the barbecue temptations of Waves Grill, a delightful Trattoria will feature an array of wood-fired pizzas, succulently grilled Italian specialties, tantalizing salads, and indulgent desserts every evening in a relaxed atmosphere caressed by sea breezes and dappled with moonlight. https://www.oceaniacruises.com/media/2022/OCEANIA+CRUISES+ANNOUNCES+TWO+MORE+BETTER-THAN-NEW+SHIPS+Riviera+and+Marina+to+Undergo+Stem-to-Stern+Re-Inspiration+in+2022+and+2023+Rebuild+Will+Yield+1%2c210+New+Suites+and+Staterooms+and+Transformed+Public+Spaces/
