Did you find that the food in Gigi's to be better or worse than Alfredo's?

I see there's lots of bread eaters in the crowd. Enjoy.

We didn't go to Vines on the other ships so we never missed it on the Enchanted and we still found a place to have our drinks. What was wrong with relocating the Sea View bar? It makes for easier access for the people walking by and they seem to have made the bar a little larger with more counter space for people to sit.

Your comments about the Enchanted are right on but we likes the fact that the Retreat pool has changed to the deeper pool on the Royal and Regal being replaced with waste high depth water.

I love that way of thinking. Let the people decide for themselves if cruising is the right thing to do in their own situation and let the rest of us enjoy ourselves.

I believe it's the answer for eliminating the wait many people are experiencing on a lot of the ships. Princess never claimed there wouldn't be a wait if you had reservations for any particular time. It only allows people to queue up for the next available seat as they really have no control over how quickly people vacate their tables.

We've been using that process for years now and it's always worked for us on all the ships. We don't use a VPN but just connect a Roku unit to their TV's for play our mp4 movies and YouTube programs. It also allows us to view out photo's shot on the trip from our phones via Bluetooth. We also don't tune to the bridge channel but go to a news channel to switch the input. The bridge channel doesn't seem to always work as well. We haven't sailed the Discovery but it would surprise me if it didn't work the same way.

If there is, it would be the first ship that has one.

I hope you complained about it. There 's no reason you should have to have paid for a dinner you couldn't enjoy.

We've seen all of them many times and in our opinion the new shows aren't much of an improvement.

It's gotten much closer to the dining room food in recent years. They must be listening to the people complaining on Cruise Critic.

I never heard of Steak and Ale pie. It must be something they only serve in Europe. ************************************************************ I just checked Google. It looks different for sure. It's something I would al least like to try...at least one time.

Some years back we watched a waiter "recycle" those un-eaten rolls and bread sticks onto fresh baskets to place on the tables they cleaned off for new customers just arriving. Presumably they don't do that any longer, at least not in view of of people sitting there eating... or do they?

Most things are getting back to a somewhat normal cruise as we know it. Although I'm still reading comments from many people complaining about different things lately, I'm beginning to wonder why.

And how would the seats then be assigned?

Most of Princess's pies are not good, especially their pie they call "pecan pie". Thankfully there other desserts are pretty good.

Is that why they're so terrible?

What's wrong with arriving 20 or 30 minutes before the show begins? Most people do without much of a problem. Either that of have your spouse hold your seat for you. My husband always gets the seats early and when I arrive he goes and gets our drinks.

Since the staff shortage will be with us for a while, the cruise line has to do their best to still continue sailing while pleasing the greatest number of people. We sill go with the flow and modify our schedule to avoid the crowds. ie. dining times, pool chairs, show schedules, etc.

I may very well be wrong, but the way I intrepid it is that you make a reservation for a particular time but it's still not a guarantee that the minute you walk in a table will be waiting for you. They really have no control of the speed others are eating or having after dinner drinks. Their reservation system only holds your place to be seated at the next available table, ahead of those that arrive randomly at the door. Since you selected thee busiest time to dine, you shouldn't be to shocked at a 15 minute wait.

Now if they could only turn down the volume a bit so I could read in peace.

People will never understand the down side of adjoining cabins unless they had one. 😉
