  1. Especially when most of the crew has now found jobs at home where they don't have to be away from families for 8 months at a time.
  2. Do you happen to know what the cutoff number was?
  3. Now that they've got the medallions, they'll know exactly where to fine you & escort you off the ship. You can't delay getting off any longer. 😄
  4. If we're behind you, you better keep moving. My husband isn't one to drag a$$. 😉
  5. That's why I usually push the trays back against their doors.
  6. The WhatsApp worked for calls without any problem as did Zoom for a 2+ hour call on a port day in Aruba and didn't drop once. I also used Netflix just about any time of day.
  7. I'm curious as to what time you arrived at the DR door to eat? It can mean a big difference in service at their busiest times.
  8. We sailed on the Enchanted with DCThunder and everything went smoothly for us also. I suspect the crowding in the DR's can be attributed to being understaffed somewhat but from the posts I've read I still don't know what time they arrived, but there can be a big difference in service eating at 5:50 or 7 PM. Even years ago where there was no problem with staffing, 2 hours to dine wasn't unheard of at their busiest times. My only minor complaint about the buffet was that it wasn't self service at that time & you had to wait until a crew member saw you standing there to get served. We never had a problem getting drink service unless it was at trivia when dozens of people wanted service at the same time. btw- When it was in the Caribbean the internet service was great. I had no problem streaming from Netflix, Xfinity WhatsApp or using Zoom. Of course that might change with the ship now sailing filled. We'll be sailing once again later this year on the Enchanted and we didn't hesitate to book it for another cruise because of any problems others have posted about.
  9. I guess you didn't get a satisfactory response the last time you posted this.
  10. As long as the cabin stewards continue to tell people to put them in the hallway, it will never end. 🍽️
  11. We didn't have one bit of a problem changing both the DR and then getting a table for the rest of our cruise 6 days into our cruise. (which we choose). Of course the ship was sailing partially filled in March so that may have made a big difference,
  12. Especially if the charge was only for a small amount.
  13. The exact same thing could have happened with the old way of placing people at tables in the DR. Unless you knew which table you were placed at by visiting the Maître D' on embarkation day, it was always pot luck. So blaming at app isn't appropriate.
  14. Jeans can be worn on just about all the cruise lines nowadays. Times have changes considerably.
  15. After our first Alaskan cruise many years ago when I stopped bringing my formal clothing & haven packed it since. Since you need different types of clothing due to cool weather and rain, there wasn't enough room for 2 formal outfits also. Today we cruise mostly in the Caribbean/Panama canal & still pack the same.
  16. Of course if you can't handle large suitcases it wouldn't be prudent to try & bring them with you. We've had experiences where we didn't receive our suitcases until well after early dinner when we wanted to go to the first main show. The last thing I want to do is unpack at 10 PM at night. Even since we carry our bags with us, we have the convenience of unpacking immediately after lunch knowing our bags are waiting on the bed.
  17. Simple enough. It's a system designed to please everyone. I don't see why there's any confusion.
  18. But it is possible to arrange to be at the same table with the same people for the entire cruise. All you have to do is talk to the DR host who will relay your request to the DR head waiter. Nothing has changed the way I see it. Maybe I'm missing something.
  19. The way I understand it is that people who prefer the tradition dining style can still tailor it to their liking with who they want to eat with. They can also specify a time which has never been available prior. We've haven't chosen traditional in many years but isn't this an improvement?
  20. I guess I haven't been following this thread to closely but how many dollars are in dispute? Is it worth the time and aggravation to try and collect it?
  21. You're so right. The new ships don't have such problems.
  22. We were charged for 2 drinks we didn't have on our last cruise. I noticed it the following day & it was removed immediately from my account with an apology also. I'm sure they deal with these accidental charges all the time and never question correcting them.
  23. Well if you didn't carefully check your bill before you left the ship, I'll guess you'll just have to wait for that refund. Happy sailing on your next Princess cruise.
