  1. We got ours also and it's like their doubling down on rubbing the increases in your face while trying to make it seem like it's a great improvement. We'll be following suzyed lead to look around at the other cruise lines as well. We're just not "Feeling the Love" that use to be there at one time.
  2. That's true on the other ships as well. Given the option, most people would rather keep it on the casual side and as soon as they realize that dressing up is no longer a "requirement", they follow suit.
  3. I hope that comedian sticks around for our cruise. We definitely need a change from the old ones that Princess has been using for years now.
  4. It certainly affects each person in a different way. We have never used room service- ever but did use GiGi many times. We always use the app to order food/desserts only because some items are not available unless you order that way. If I could get it myself, I would like drinks.
  5. That's the part that gets me irritated. I suppose I'll find some of the included food which is comparable, so really how much are they going to save in the long run?
  6. Sounds to me like just another price increase in the near future.
  7. I never had that with my coffee cards. (possible I didn't realize it)
  8. I missed that part about the shorts. I thought there were other items that caused people to be rejected, like sweat pants, ripped jeans, etc.
  9. I just love the way Princess addressed peoples concerns about how the implementation of the packages will be applied to those that already booked before the change. It was presented on a travel agent, 1 hour webinar on Thursday and they dedicated 50 minutes telling their clients about how great their deal was, only answering a few basic questions at the end.😟
  10. For what reasons. Shorts? No shoes? Lack of a dress shirt with buttons? No jacket?
  11. I checked a few of my patters from the Enchanted last Feb/March and there's no mention of of any dress code or suggestions on any of them. Also the signs which use to be at the entrance to the DR doors are also gone. Have you actually been on a Princess ship in the last 2 years or are you just quoting what's printed on a copy of the patter pre Covid ? Mar 6, 2023.pdf
  12. Remnants of what some of the formalists still prefer. Yes, there are some people who actually enjoy dressing up.😀
  13. I don't consider what Princess does today as a dress code but more of a suggestion. Yes, they do mention on their web site what to expect on casual and formal evenings, but it's presented only to give people some idea of what to wear. If you like to dress up, then do so, but either way nothing will be said if you don't. Decent shorts are also being accepted on casual evenings on the ships we've traveled on in the past two years. My husband wore his cargo shorts one evening with a polo shirt and it was acceptable although it was only one time since the DR was cold & he preferred his jeans with a T shirt.
  14. I think they actually like to post those dollar values. It lets the elites know what a great value they're getting.
  15. Now that you mention it, Princess cruisers all wear them forward.
  16. If you consider that a dress code, then yes Princess does have one but it's a far cry from what it use to be a few years ago. Todays dress requirements are left up to the passenger to decide on both casual & formal nights. Although shorts & baseball caps are spelled out as not acceptable, they very common on casual nights with some individuals.
  17. Also a perfect couple for a Cunard cruise. They'll feel right at home.
  18. Only if you feel the need to dress up a bit, otherwise it's become a casual cruise line at all the dining locations.
  19. And don't forget you have to pay that $160 for the last day when you leave the ship early morning. 😄
  20. Do they actually check the bottles for names and dates?
  21. That's a good one for sure. I would have been monitoring the chairs to see when they returned. Did you happen to take a photo by chance? It would have been a first. 😁
  22. The days of people following a strict formal dress code are long gone that is, unless you choose to do so. The dress code on the Enchanted has bee relaxed to allow people to dine in comfort without having to lug along the extra clothing once required. My DH wears a pair of black jeans with a Polo shirt on the last 6 Enchanted trips without any problem. Enjoy.
  23. I always repackage my pills is travel size containers since the original bottles are to big to travel with. I also don't bother with prescriptions as some people do. If they every do start checking people's luggage, half the ship would probably be denied boarding and the boarding line would probably take 4 or 5 hours to check. 😄
