I can’t wait to see those beer prices. Who the heck eats that much food? I never go to see the shows nor activities through the day. I use the gym, that’s about it.

It is really good. One of my favs I think.

When there is a lot of available inventory I don’t think it takes much in the way of negotiation skills. I can pretty much guarantee it’s a money thing for the Neptunes. I doubt it has anything to do with merit.

I don’t go for the pasta. The food is actually very good at Canaletto. It’s in the same area but it’s in no way the same food.

Yes, I understand its for upsells. I’ve had zero luck using this method. When I’ve called the upsells have been sky high. That said I think it depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking to go from inside to outside or balcony chances are probably pretty good. For me I’m usually looking to go from balcony to Neptune or it’s not worth getting my credit card out. I took an upsell from a balcony to a vista and that was a big waste of money. That one was unsolicited. I met a few others that did the same. Disappointment all around.

I think, many, many people do this. It seems to work like a charm on the positive feedback, not so much n the negative. I’m speaking for MYSELF only, not Bob, Susie or Jack.

I absolutely mentioned it on my cruise survey. I can’t see any way in which I will cruise with hal in the first half of 2023 unless things take a big change for me and I don’t see that happening. I will likely be with another line which I have done in the past.

I’m sure it does. There was no such form. I even asked for chocolates face to face and was told no, only on gala nights. That said it’s been since March of this year that I was on a ship.

I love ❤️ that. I was just going to say you best be bringing your own because the chocolates are handed out like gold (speaking for my cabin only, not suites or other cabins).

You don’t need to understand others, just yourself. Yes, I only use my towels once at home. I don’t have a plethora of towel bars to let me towels dry out out. I don’t want to reuse a towel that may have gone sour because it’s wet. I have my shower right before dinner when on a cruise also sometimes I hand wash items so I don’t want wet towels on my floor until the next day, maybe 18 hours. I’m totally good with you getting as little or as much service as you like. I think you should have the same consideration. To the op, they were only doing once a day cleaning on the koningsdam in November 2021. I’m speaking of my room only. I wasn’t staying in an other rooms, nor was I in a suite. I was ok with it if it would help. Then someone on this board mentioned when does it stop and I thought that’s right. I’m not getting a free or discounted cabin and I shouldn’t have to settle for budget service. Hal doesn’t need to make their problem my problem.

I’m surprised they ask for that. I would have thought it would be free for some. Just call, the world is yours.

Those price differences sure wouldn't push me to book with an online TA. Sounds like a hassle to save $80 PP but that's just me. If it was half price that would be different. At one time Hal upsell dept wouldn't even talk to you if you booked through a TA.

People really like to stretch things. I should know to explain everything so people don’t get confused. I said I’d like the pizza. You said there is no room for the deli. Please highlight the part of my quote where I said there was homeless people. Just because I don’t have the same vision as some people on this board doesn’t mean you have to completely change what I said. You don’t have to beat on people that feel differently than you do. There is WAY to much of that going on here already.

First of all I said nothing about the deli. I don’t like deli meat so I don’t care about that part. I’m not talking about libraries on shore. That’s a totally different thing. Also I’ve never seen anyone sleeping in a library where I live. People tend to do that at home. It’s more than free books on shore, at least where I live. We have lots of different programs in libraries where I live.

I don’t care if it has the same set up. I think most of the ships have the ny pizza. I don’t care if ships have libraries but I know people lose their minds if you say that. Just another place for people to sleep. I put everything I want on my kindle. It grosses me out thinking about someone thumbing through a book, probably licking their fingers to turn they page and then people wondering how they got Covid or some intestinal bug 🤮 when they touched the book a little while later.

Toilets are straight if I remember correctly 😛. I can’t remember what I liked on the nieuw statendam either but I know it’s my fav. They could actually do proper accounting something that seems to allude the koningsdam.

How did they innovate? Serious question, I have no idea.

It would be nice if there was some innovation. I’m not sure that Hal’s forte.

Yes, I understand that. I’m more interested in trying a new ship even if it’s the same class. The nieuw statendam corrected some of the missteps on the koningsdam and I love the nieuw statendam. I really adore that class or ships. I have zero interest in the oldies like the zaandam. I wish they’d save the oldies for the exotic trips. I really don’t have any desire to fly to Florida at this point to try the Rotterdam.
