  1. Nope. They are not for 4 and 5 star Mariners unless they are casino players as well. I’m a 5 star. No deals remotely like that.
  2. I hear you. Every time I say the same thing someone takes a stab at me. It’s ok to brag endlessly how cheap you get something but if people (rightfully) get upset you are game for nasty comments. It speaks volumes of those that choose to do so.
  3. There seems to be 2 offers going on. I haven’t read this entire thread because it’s redundant. The few posts I read sounded like casino prices.
  4. I thought I’d replied to you but I don’t see if. I can pretty much guarantee no one has ever paid that $25. Thank you for calling. Some of us appreciate your effort while others just criticize every post on cc 🙄. Tiresome.
  5. Yes of course it does but if nothing happens it is a waste. If you have plenty of free time I guess it's not an issue.
  6. That all lovely in theory but I bet none of that happens. I'd love to see the receipt for that payment of $25 a day :). Thanks for checking into it.
  7. Who knows if it got that far. I know I didn't pursue it. I had a mountain of problems on my last cruise and I ended up dealing with the front desk manager. He tried to brush me off at first too thinking I didn't know what I was talking about. When I started to show him the "receipts" of my issues he changed his tune drastically. I ended up walking off the ship with a far different opinion than I did at first. Anyway, I did complain and somehow he got wind of it and he did come to the cabana to talk about it. I was worried that he thought all I did was complain so I didn't say a ton. I have seen people sharing a regular cabana, usually 4 people and I have complained about it because it's not fair. Its always people that eat every single meal in the cabana so the stewards are hopping. I never eat there because I feel I can get off my but to get something but I like my water iced in the bucket. Usually that doesn't happen unless I ask a ton. I get told those people have paid extra to have that many people in the cabana. I'm thinking not.
  8. Yes, but unfortunately "talk" is cheap. Action is the thing that matters to me anyway.
  9. Personally, I love the bigger ships. I never enjoyed the ornate look of hals older ships. While some may be able to take 50 day cruises on old ships with unique ports I suspect that isn't a large majority.
  10. That's the most crazy thing I've ever seen for sure. I'm pretty sure the 2 "leaders" rented it and then sprung this "surprise" when they got on the ship. I don't think anyone was aware until they were on the ship. They had a schedule and everything. The people that I talked to that found out about this little scheme had a cabana next to them and heard all the details of this caper.
  11. Exactly. You shouldn't be able to bring whoever you like up there. We all pay a premium for a reason. The things I've seen. On one of my cruises one of the family cabanas was open. These dudes kept crashing, multiple times a day. The 32 people were trying to paint a rosy picture for Hal. It was some kind of a group. They had a sign up and everything. Told hal just think of the business we can bring you by doing this. Yeah right. It's all about enforcement. Usually, the stewards have little power if people refuse to listen. The white coats seem to turn a blind eye a lot from what I've seen. So not cool.
  12. I’m interested in the 14 day Mexico. If it starts around Apr 8 that might work for me. I’m sure the price will be ridiculously high though.
  13. It’s really like night and day difference between the cabanas on the pinnacle class and those that aren’t on the pinnacle class. They are huge in comparison. On my last cruise there was 32 people sharing a regular cabana. Yup you heard that right. They thought it was fine because maybe 2 or 3 were there at a time. What about the poor stewards? Hal didn’t do squat about it from the appearance. I heard about it from another couple I frequently talked to. They were livid. I wasn’t happy about it either.
  14. I think those that use ta’s are more in need of hand holding. The upside off a pcc is that you can email them and they know your preferences instead of sitting on the phone if you have an issue. I know you can do that with a ta. You’ll get some that will come on here saying they save thousands using a ta. What they leave out is that they are taking lengthy cruises. You won’t be saving thousands on a 7 day unless you are in an expensive room.
  15. While I could see them changing blend into a bar I’m more sceptical about them doing anything they don’t have to like a club orange redo. That’s just extra money for no big upside. As always I’m prepared to admit I’m wrong.
  16. They should give us all access to these “fire sales” then, not just a select few.
  17. You won’t be able to see them until the 21st. The above is just advanced notice as far as I can see.
  18. I love a cabana but I feel its a warm weather thing. I wouldn't take one for free in Alaska.
  19. Yup I'm finding nothing but high prices. Someone has to pay for the cruises they are giving away for free. I'm thinking the same thing as you regarding holidays or at least another cruise line.
  20. There was no fruit bowls on the koningsdam either in November 2021 or March 2022 but they will get you fruit on request. I asked why, they said they threw too much away. Also listed are cold towels. I rarely see those any more. I've haven't seen any of the following for a very long time: Handheld fans Evian mister Ice cream - I've never seen this but I do tend to go exercise right after lunch
  21. Those are casino fares or some other promo. For the south america cruise I'm seeing $1249 double occ for an inside (canadian).
  22. I don't have that luxury. I am still working and I have deadlines. No way could I do this cruise with the deadlines I have. If you can cherry pick and live in Florida it's pretty doable. That is not everyone. I live a LONG way from Florida.
  23. I’ve never seen a price anywhere near that, more like quadruple that if not much more for the cheapest balcony. While some may pay “beer” prices many of us are not.
