  1. $10 for 4 bags. 2 large ones and 2 carry ons. Never had a problem.
  2. Not quite. Depending on the level of service you book determines which cabins are available to reserve.
  3. It actually wasn’t bad. The window onto the promenade made a big difference. I don’t think I could do a true inside any more. We’re mostly balcony people with a suite thrown in every once in a while for variety. Next two are suites but after that the next 4 cruises we are in regular balconies
  4. I've noticed that the GGG flyer hasn't had anything on Navigator for quite some time. Those LA itineraries must be selling better now. I got one in Sept for $149 for a promenade view inside.
  5. The only mainline cruise co. that is still listed as going to Bar Harbor in 2024 is Norwegian and I suspect they will be dropping it too. They list gem and breakaway as calling in 2024 but that isn't possible with their capacity so those itineraries will inevitably get a change.
  6. My next cruise is $1800 total for OVP suite on Navigator. A $100 still is significant to me. If I can save it I will I've got a CLS this coming March on Oasis for $6200 total including tax.
  7. Bar Harbor has been dropped by Royal starting in the 2024 season and replaced with Sydney NS. Bar Harbor is finished as a cruise port.
  8. This I very much agree with. Cruise lines have no interest in any impediment to cruising. I still think it is prudent to have one but fully understand that people will continue to live their lives the way they want irrespective of what is safest. I'm not exactly one to talk when it comes to risk taking. I just choose to take my risks somewhere else.
  9. I always order the sundae from the kids Menu in chops.
  10. Hey I get it, it's a sacrifice for some. I've had one since I was a kid and think it is just a good thing to have in case of emergencies. However, I'm the guy who has a get away bag stashed for my wife and I and over a years worth of emergency food stored in a hidden location 🙂
  11. I don't care if they do or don't, I just don't understand people who don't want one. The idea that why bother because you'll never need it again seems lame to me. How do you know you won't need it in 2 or 5 years down the road. I can't imagine so certain about the future.
  12. That only works for folks who don't want flavoring in their lattes. I'm good with that but DW always wants Caramel or Vanilla or Mocha so she always ends up at 270 of Cafe Promenade. If they'd start laying out flavoring in the Diamond lounge I'd really have it made...
  13. This was my experience on our last two cruises since making Diamond. It works especially well for us since DW will only order 1 Latte in the morning and 1 Daiquiri Mocktail in the afternoon. That leaves me with two of hers to consume on top of my four. I definitely came out ahead paying cash for my less expensive drinks like beer and cider and using the vouchers on the $14 beverages.
  14. ditto for me. I have never been weighed getting on Northstar. It gives great views of whatever port you are in and it's free... Why wouldn't you do it is a better question?
  15. So a few days back I mentioned my night Christmas Day flight debacle with Southwest. This afternoon, unsolicited, I received an email with an apology for the inconvenience and 25,000 Southwest points. That's worth of $300 I'd imagine. For all the headaches not the day that is not bad customer service after the fact.
  16. All OBC I have ever gotten pre-cruise was also available on the ship. I have had the reverse happen... OBC that didn't show up until day 2 onboard the ship but never as the OP described.
  17. I'm with you. I had actually heard of it but don't think I've ever eaten it. If I had seen it before it was cooked up into something I doubt it would pass my lips...
  18. Thank Doc, I was hoping you would chime in. With both your medical degree and football experience I figured you'd have great insight.
  19. This was my first thought... I have heard of it happening in hockey but it is very rare. Take a puck to the chest at precisely the wrong moment...
  20. One thing I forgot to mention. Depending on the ship you may or may not need an extension cord... Check YouTube for video's of your prospective cabin to determine if you will need an extension cord. Plug locations vary by ship and cabin type.
  21. Along with the phone number that @Ashland has listed you can also just submit a for from here... https://www.royalcaribbean.com/resources/guest-special-needs Or as has already been mentioned you can wait to get on board and request it from cabin attendant. I usually submit the form. about 50% of the time it is in my cabin when I arrive. When it's not I just mention it to the cabin attendant before dinner on Day 1 and it is there in the evening.
