  1. Ive had 2 on Liberty so far 1700 and 1704. 1700 is better but they were both great. Which do you have?
  2. I am absolutely a coffee guy. Every morning must begin with Black coffee. That being said I'm not adverse to other drinks as well. I've known to order a Frappe at Starbucks in the afternoons from time to time. When I'm cruising it's coffee and OJ in the morning. Diet Coke at lunch. The drinking begins in earnest after the mid day meal. 🙂 I think that is great idea! Ive got a few in archives.
  3. No, I usually will have a specific time when I have availability to cruise. I'll pick out two or three options that look attractive to me and ask him to let me know what pricing looks like for both or all three and will then choose. Sometimes he has group space, sometimes he doesn't. I'd say of about of my last five cruises and of my next five Royal cruises about half are in group space. Sometimes the savings is small, $20 or $50, but sometimes the savings are huge. Early this year when I travelled on Odyssey, booking group space was $1400 less than what Royal offering directly on their website at time of booking for a similar cabin. By final payment it was down to a $500 difference, I think, but still a substantial savings. Irrespective of the discount, every group booking is a refundable deposit which can mean anywhere from a $75 value upwards to $250 or even more. The only restriction I can think of is that you must book double occupancy so group space can't really be used if taking advantage of the KSF discount but that not an issue for us anymore.
  4. Many TA's have them you just have to email or call and ask. My TA has a good number. Probably a TA associated with a large agency that still gives personal service would my recommendation. Sometimes contacting someone you might know who has a TA they like might be a good place to start.
  5. No, find a TA with group space and your cruise will have a refundable deposit and be cheaper than Royal's posted rate.
  6. Thanks all for the help... I have booked the upgrade package but I think I'll cancel it. I forgot about calculating the overnight stops into the equation. I think I'm going to cancel that upgrade and put that money towards something else.
  7. We just brought pictures of the negative tests for our grandkids.
  8. This thread is so hard to keep on... One day behind means 10 pages to view! I had one of the best steaks of my life yesterday at a little place in Claremont CA called The Meat Cellar. I had the Prime Tomahawk (apx. 2 lbs) It was truly spectacular. I'll definitely be going back.
  9. For all five of my post covid cruises, check in time was meaningless and unenforced. That includes Seattle x2, Galveston, FLL and LA.
  10. It takes about a week or 10 days for it to show up. They'll send you an email and you will also see it in your cruise planner.

  12. Oh good God! I have no hope of getting anything done this week for sure now. I'm so looking forward to following! This sounds like an epic adventure.
  13. I'm the same way now. I've all but given up on hotel shuttles. Between standing at the airport for 40 minutes after flying to being told they only run at certain times and time I want is all full, I'd rather just pay Uber and get picked up or dropped off when I actually want it.
  14. Oh my, I'm following along and will be loving every minute. I'm not sure I'll get much work done between you and @Ozark_Kid's review but I'm here for the ride!
  15. Awesome! I'm looking forward to following you on this cruise!
  16. I'm curious to know from those who have sailed Pride of America what their experience has been. As a regular Royal cruiser this is my first time on NCL. I'm a heavy internet user while aboard ships. I need access for work reasons and I typically buy Royal's higher quality service. I would need to FaceTime, send and receive files and use wifi calling. The free at sea package give me 250 minutes. They are offering an upgrade for $179. I've got a couple of questions. Since we are just circumnavigating the islands is it possible to stay connected to my carrier (AT&T) for internet service and not need their wifi? I know I'll have access to it when we're docked in port but what about at night? Also, what is the difference between the wifi I'm given as part of the promotion and the "premium wifi upgrade". Is the bandwidth better with the upgraded premium wifi? Second, issue is the shore excursions credit as part of the free at sea package. On the first full day of our cruise my wife would like an excursion that I have no interest in. My intention was to book it for her and I'd just rent a scooter in town and zoom around on my own. When I go to book it it appears that the credit can only be attached to first person on the booking. Is there a simple way to overcome this? My thought was to book it in my name and just have the shore excursion people change it up once on board but then became concerned that that may not be possible since "cancelations" are limited to 48 hours prior. I'd hate for DW to lose out since this excursion is on our first full day and a 48 hour period wouldn't be possible. I apologize in advance if the answers to these questions are obvious. For me they weren't.
  17. Airplane mode works just fine with with both wifi and bluetooth turned on. I'm not sure why there is any dispute over this. Screen shot of phone in Airplane mode with wifi and bluetooth on. Video of turning airplane mode on. Note wifi and bluetooth remain on and can be turned off and on manually.
