  1. I would prefer not do share but basically - She appreciated my candor Agrees with many of the issues I raised Indicated that due comments from guests that changes were in the works but some of those take time an should be implemented by June. She hopes to win us back as a dedicated customer.
  2. I'm sure you will look beautiful. On our last cruise we Invited my BIL and SIL to join us. Even though we sent them the dress code my BIL showed up with just T shirts.. When he showed up for cocktails Iain had to politely tell him he needed a collar. I went back with him and gave him a couple of Shirts that just didn't fit me right and they looked great on him. It should be pointed out the collared shirts are only required in the Main Dining Rooms in the evening and If you wish to be more casual you can dine in the Ocean View Cafe (buffet) . They have really nice dinners but not table service.
  3. Your are of course correct. I wrote Laura at an e-mail address different than the one you posted and she gave me when I brought it up to her in person at a Zenith Lunch. Sometime brain freeze. At least they both began with L. My response came back directly from her and not one of the Executive Assistants.
  4. Nahh... that's why they call us techie's. Really doesn't matter whether if your an Accountant, Engineer or Line Worker. I guess I would consider an HVAC technician - Blue Collar --- but at least they have a collar. Ok... I'm joking and hope I don't offend anyone. But the question is whether you would divorce him if he wore cords. LOL
  5. Profession may not affect what you wear but living in Silicon Valley it is more of a way of life in the region rather what one does. Our culture is more of a relaxed one and no one give a damn what someone else is wearing. I can tell you many of the corporate leaders like Steve Job or Mark Zukerberg were never looked down on or denied entrance to any place they went. Having said that, @Kastaka you are ok with your cords but probably need to pick up some collard shirts - You can keep it casual with collard golf shirts/
  6. Don't disagree. The population of Nassau doesn't take into consideration 8 Million Plus visitors. While I didn't look into very deeply the news reports I've read are that much of the deaths are gang related and have not seen any reports of tourists being targeted. My point is that every city - regardless of size can have risks. We each need to be aware of our surroundings and take into consideration. Personally I don't care for Nassau and if ported there generally don't get off the ship. That has nothing to do with crime.
  7. Looks like Wanda is Top Cruiser. Send her our love if you see her.
  8. @hcat Hope you have a wonderful birthday cruise. It is a great way to celebrate.
  9. Your question as to whether lines EVER CHANGE. Yes they do. Good example would be the cancellation of the Israeli cruise and the cancellation of Aqaba on the recent World Cruise. All cruise lines monitor world and port situations and make changes after careful risk assessment. Will the change Nassau? - I personally doubt it. The State Department publishes Security Alerts so U.S. Citizens know of risks in foreign locations. Just a couple Statistics on Homicides in 2023. Not picking on any location but we are probably more at risk In Fll and MIA than in Bahamas. San Francisco 53 Miami 31 Chicago 617
  10. Thanks... I'm rather excited. I guess everyone knows that our first Non-Celebrity was on Ponant on a ship that only has maximum capacity of 184. Of course it is a totally different product than either Celebrity or Oceania. While very different, we embraced the differences and would sail them again dependent on itinerary. We booked Oceania knowing it will be different than Celebrity but also from our reading believe that it might be a fit for us. I know other's like the OP enjoy a cruise different than us but that is the beauty of choice.
  11. I expressed some of my concerns with recent changes on Celebrity with Lisa both in person and via e-mail. She did say that they are making some changes over then next couple months and hope to win us back as a dedicated cruiser. She is such a good Marketeer! Reality is once you loose and Exclusive Cruiser you will never get them back. At first we felt like we were cheating on a long time partner but then realized they had decided a long time ago to have an open relationship.
  12. No. You keep all of your existing perks and OBC. You get amenities that come with the room but not the perks or points.
  13. Your agent is incorrect. You will indeed get free unlimited dining, Bar Setup with two bottles, Unlimited laundry and dry clean. I know for a fact of being upgraded many times.
  14. Just checked the Cruise Planner for my April 11 night on Solstice. You can no longer buy Classic but if you get it as all inclusive you can upgrade. Current Price -
  15. That is absolutely unacceptable behavior. In the future make note of the agent's name and address them by name so the agent knows you have made note. If your receive such rude service send a note to the executive office with his name and the type service you received.
  16. I hope to stay balanced but going forward will be selecting cruises on destination, length and pricing. I hate to admit it but i'm starting to become an Oceania cheerleader and haven't sailed them. yet. Our first Ocania will now be September 14. Just booked this morning. Alaska cruise originating Vancouver but ends in LA.
  17. If he is still having trouble you might have him try a different browser and/or Clear Cache in the browser. Another alternative is to use incognito mode. I just logged into my account and also created an account for my husband. No problem logging into either.
  18. On our last cruise, since we get fee laundry as Zenith like you, he insisted he picked up all our dirty laundry and had it laundered and folded to make it easy to pack. It was so nice coming home and no laundry to do. Not that I do it anyway. LOL
  19. That has been happening to me a lot. Why Celebrity can't fix their log on to keep you logged on is beyond men. Yes they charge you that amount per bag sent out. All has to be done at once. If you are Elite or above you will get some free bags of laundry. You can also go al la carte and pay per piece.
  20. On most of the cruises It did open at 12:01 on the port of embarkation. The only time I saw it difference was for Singapore and with the Dateline was off by one day. I have a Sydney departure coming up shortly and will see how that one works out. When we sailed out Reykjavik it was 12:01 Reykjavik time.
  21. One thing of note. If you booked air are are a US citizen you have 24 hours to cancel without penalty or fee (Federal Law). Give FBC a call and see what they can do for you.
  22. A small work around if you want to do it per-cruise. Buy the 2 package for each passenger individually. Once on the ship - in the App you can upgrade for additional accounts.
  23. I would say if you go in with the mindset that you will receive the worst cabin in the classification and consider any better assignment a win I think you will be fine. I've done 3 guaranteed Sky Suites. 2 ended up being Accessible Sky Suites and 1 was right under the kitchen galley and could hear what sounded like subway passing ever 10-15 minutes from 6AM to 9Am and 4PM to 7PM. I checked and above was the entrance to the dish washing area entrance and the sound was pushing big carts full of plates.
  24. Really enjoyed your review. Sorry it didn't turn out enjoyable.
