  1. Took a quick search on Cruise Mapper -
  2. We always travel in Suites and have eaten in Blu on a number of occasions. Access is on a space available basis but never been turned down, but given a suggestion of best time which varies by cruise. I always approach it as a request not a demand. We are late diners so most of the time Blu is usually only about 1/2 filled.
  3. My understanding is all croissants are baked fresh every day on the ships. I have noticed that since resumption of cruising they have downsized them to about 50% of the previous ones. The ones in Retreat / Luminae have remained the traditional size.
  4. I know we have all recognized the price increases and some cut backs, but I would expect that we will not see any reductions in the near future. I read an interesting article comparing the prices of Land Based vacations vs Cruises. Obviously price increases in Hotels and Land Based Resort have increased at a greater rate than what we are seeing within the cruise industry. Not arguing about being right or wrong but trying to give it some perspective. Royal Caribbean Group CEO Jason Liberty said during the company's third-quarter earnings call that land-based vacations now cost about 40% more than cruises, a number that has stretched from about 20% before the pandemic.
  5. I was born on Thanksgiving and we often have cruised over Thanksgiving. As others have indicated they have their regular menu but also have a Traditional Turkey Dinner as one of the choices. By the way - I've only seen this on the American Thanksgiving but don't believe I've sailed on Canadian Thanksgiving or other countries.
  6. The Samsung TV is identical to that I've seen on M, S and E Class TV'. You simply plug you HDMI device into one of the 3 HDMI ports. I can see one on the 2 on the back. After plugged in and Device Powered UP (if not powered up will not show any HDMI is active) Next on your room's Remote follow the instructions as shown on message 33. First Press CC button Press Menu Button Go to bottom and select Support Go to Bottom Source - Select the source you are plugged into. Only those active will be active. In the picture you posted the only thing plugged in is an Ethernet Connection - Celebrity uses their TV's as a dumb monitor and utilize and HTML loader to bring up the main screen and stream the content.
  7. Paper menus will be given to you at your table. I sometimes use the digital format in traveling on M or S in a suite to check other items to mix an match. I also usually look at the desert menu in advance to determine if I should leave room for desert.
  8. I just use the digital version from the app. I also drop it in my Wallet and as a backup make a screen shot.
  9. I would call back and see if you can find an agent that is more informed. If an accessible cabin is available in the same class as currently booked you can be moved. Also if one is available in the next level e.g. SS2 to SS1 then you can upgrade for just the difference in fare. As you indicated there is no ability to bid for an accessible stateroom in the Upgrade program. I have however been assigned accessible staterooms on an upgrade even though I didn't want one.
  10. Not sure of the reason but in a number of ports for some reason we lost internet connectivity while in port. A couple ports where I've experienced this is Ensenada and Catalina Island. In Ensenada I was able to used my cellphone connection with T-mobile and tethered top PC. Catalina I was on a B2B and happened both times and even though you can see LA no connection via phone either. In the past year I've done a B2B to Iceland and back, B2B Mexican Rivera and Caribbean, TA and British Isle cruise. For all of these cruises I had no problems with doing Zoom calls.
  11. Pearl is the casino level when you have accumulated 1 point. For a couple years Iain was Pearl and I wasn't because he won a free spin and then re-bet it.
  12. I always book my own hotels direct. I have been looking for the hotels that Celebrity offered but only finding City Stay available under excursions and only for my European reservations. My understanding this is a different product and includes transport and excursions. Prices are based on a per person rate in lieu of per night and EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE In looking at Barcelona the prices start at about $1,000 pp per night. I do recall reading here on CC that people have booked hotels from Celebrity at a nice rate but like you can not get the website to even search for them.
  13. Depending on usage, the free minutes may work for you. Way back in time I use to only use the free minutes. If just using to send and receive e-mail you need to be frugal and plan you usage. By plan I mean - Log on and download your e-mail then immediately log off. Go through your e-mail offline and answer those you wish or create new outgoing email and save. Log back on and press - Send/Receive. As soon as completed log off. Only warning is make sure you log off each time or.....BAM all your minutes will be gone. As others have suggested - try out your fee minutes and if you have burnt through them too fast then you can sign up for one account upgrade (which will be discounted around mid-cruise.
  14. While I'm not positive, I believe the will be be going direct to Portofino. My belief is based on the fact that it is listed as a tender port. When I stopped in Genoa with Celebrity he ship docked and didn't tender. MSC may have stopped in Genoa because they have a terminal there. The second reason I believe it to be Portofino is that even on you posted itinerary both Florence/Pisa and Rome have the actual port in parentheses. That has been the protocol on Celebrity when not docking at the major city listed.
  15. You may wish to do a quick search - I found a good thread that may be of help.
  16. Would recommend calling Celebrity and asking. Celebrity has sold a product in the past for pre- or post cruise and were called City Stay - https://www.celebritycruises.com/gb/cruise-packages/vacation-packages/city-stays These include ground transportation, room and excursions. They also sell (better described as book hotels) which are like booking on any other travel agency and only covers the hotel.
  17. That can often happen before they load the menus for your cruise. Suggest you check the same ship but the current sailing.
  18. None - with the exception of Club Soda all sparkling waters are only on Premium. It is one of those items you don't pay the difference in price and are charged the full amount for a bottle. On premium they usually have San Pelligrino and Perrier (sometime they substitute another kind).
  19. I do it all the time. If a desired room in the same sub-classification becomes available I just call my agent and he swaps out the room. If a room comes available in a higher classification than you purchased by at least $1. You can "Upgrade" for the difference in prices.
  20. This link shows everything non-alcaholic at the bottom of the page. To determine if it makes sense to purchase would recommend going to the App and look up a couple bar Menu's and calculate what you might like and see if it makes sense. Non-Premium Coffee's - Yes Smoothie - No
  21. I use it often - Both the Mobile as well as the Web Version. I find the easiest method is to search on a site like Cruise Mapper to find ships current location by Long. and Lat. I then put that into the search bar- 58.12068, 8.53304 (you then have to click on the coordinate that it pops up You can then select "Waves" and then click on a spot on the map to bring up the marker - You can then move the map around to see the measurement at each location
  22. I was recently checking on the Travel Insurance coverage using Chase Sapphire Reserve Card. They recently dropped their coverage to $5,000 PP per incident or $10,000 maximum if more than one passenger booked at the same time. They also limit maximum coverage in one year to a total of $10,000. The coverage does not cover for per-existing Conditions or being arrested (hmm). It also is not cover cancellation for any reason and has to be related to a covered event that prevents you from traveling.
  23. I can confirm that the bidding amounts are different according to the classification of your current booking. In April I was managing bookings for our room as well as my SIL/BIL. We were in a CS and they were in a Aqua. The bid amounts from an AQ were substantially higher.
  24. I believe it depends on the Excursion. We took a tour and were ferried to Oia where we met out bus. After visiting Santorini we had the option of eitehr returning to Oia and shuttle back to the ship or walk down the hill or taking Cable Car and meet a shuttle near the foot of the cable car. If I recall the shuttles were at Port of Fira. We visited pre-covid so not sure if things have changed.
