  1. I am cheesed off reading this thread, lol.I am off to Bodalla.
  2. 'It has been a hard day's night'...too much heat and humidity, lol.
  3. Papua New Guinea would be off the cruise list for now, what with the locals playing up, looting, rioting, 15 dead in Port Moresby and Lae. Out of control. Been there twice, I don't like it anyway.
  4. Re the scrambled eggs on the ships, they and omelets are often made with liquid egg from a carton, seen them make them on Princess and HAL. The liquid egg some contains wheat as a thickener, so coeliacs beware. The ships scrambled eggs using liquid egg are thus sometimes rubbery and not nice as reported above by yes! yes! yes! on Grand Princess.
  5. Nice day, Been out to Crookwell a few times, little heritage town. I like to stop at the wind farm viewing area on way.
  6. Nice meal Linda, lovely wine glass, Quality all the way.. I will be drinking out of a paper cup soon, with the packing being done re my move end of Feb, to Moruya.
  7. We need a review on the Princess Cruises Pie effort, Neil. Although I just noted they serve Mrs Macs, that is cheating, lol.
  8. I get those, I just chuck the olives, hate them. The Giardiniera are great with some cheddar cheese and continental meats.
  9. Being a Chinese food freak, might I say that food in the Melbourne Chinese looks excellent.
  10. Feel sorry for you. My sister at Currumbin and brother at Nerang had the same issues, they had house loads of visitors too from UK, NSW and NZ. Reminds me of the bushfires down here, no power for nearly 2 weeks. I bet your supermarkets are busy, people restocking.
  11. My kids were often lost at the big shopping centres like Miranda/Hurstville when we lived in the 'Shire.' These days I just lose my car at the local Shopping Centres in Batemans Bay, You know, where did I park it lol.
  12. I saw it in Sydney a few years ago and also in 1997 when we did a big coach tour of British Isles, ticket to the tattoo were included. I always watch it on TV. A highlights version over the years was on TV last night, it was good.
  13. On Bridgecam looks a bit choppy for Grand's tendering off Kangaroo Island today, I wonder if they got ashore.
  14. Hello my friends and a Merry Chrissie and Happy New Year to you all. I have been away for a week, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, I was at Riverview (Lane Cove area, Sydney) with my daughter, son and all the relos, you know in laws and out laws. Then my daughter and I drove up to Armidale to see the Vet Granddaughter. Had a great time away. Bit of an effort for me, but went ok. Traffic was not too bad. So onwards to 2024, have a great NYE everyone, I am just going over the road to a neighbours party, but doubt I will last until midnight, lol. 🍷
  15. They used to have the VSOP cognac in the mini bar set up, that was a good sipper. But for a few years now it has been the inferior VS. OK with dry ginger ale. Cut backs. As for whisky, last year on Coral they put an awful Aussie whisky in, Starwards I think it was. But I forced it down with dry ginger ale for medicinal purposes, lol.
  16. To me looked it resembled a fried, battered mars bar, Geoff, or something more sinister.🤢
  17. Perhaps they usually travel on another cruise line, that does not care what pax wear, young and old. I won't mention the line I want to survive until Boxing Day, lol.
  18. RE the pub lunch, good choice on menu, however the pic of the hake and chips...bit frugal on the fish portion. The Bangers/Mash and pudding looked tasty. Thanks again for reports and pics.
  19. Cut backs and more cut backs. It will be BYO Lobster soon.
  20. Agree I bought a small one from Woollies last week, $24, thawed but had been frozen. God only knows where it originated from. Anyway it was super tough.
  21. But you can buy canned Guinness on board. In UK you can buy non alcohol Guinness, not sure if it is available here yet.
  22. Have you given up on the 100% Chill, they promised it to you, ring BIG GAV !!
