  1. You know cruising is back when we are discussing where/how to procure a sofa bed...
  2. Exactly! The it's not polite, you are a guest thing, come on I paid $$$$$ dearly to be on the ship, I will discuss what I want, when I want.
  3. Then you must be in a rush to do your waiting at the baggage carousel.
  4. And that’s why they get paid a nice commission
  5. Lot of assumptions here, but whatever...have a lovely day MandyMooToo
  6. in this situation, he is not an older teen, he's 22...
  7. and he does not need to worry, someone else is doing all the legwork for him
  8. Too funny. I am astounded by some of what is posted and responses to, of some of the folks that post their live (not you Graphic) from reviews. It's bad enough (to me, it's my opinion) that they post a picture of EVERY morsel of food and drink that they consume, no joke, every single thing, posing and preening in front of the mirror to show their wardrobe of choice for each part of the day But then the kicker to me, "oh please can you stop by the x bar, if x is working please tell him that John/Jane from Osh Kosh said hello and we are looking forward to seeing them on our cruise in 2023". The list goes on from the servers, the stewards, butlers and even, if I send you some $$ can you buy x at the next port and give it to my favorite crew member. The "stuff" they ask them to buy, OY.
  9. The very last thing I will do on a cruise is to wash my laundry in my room, heck I don't do that at home. Not going to be walking around my room with laundry hanging about. I'll take my chances with my skivvies, undershirts and socks.
  10. I think I'd prefer this method. I am on a roll call, on another line, and I did join in the hopes of meeting up with some nice folks for a bit of socializing, I'll be solo on this cruise. I still plan to do that, but I have to say, I can already see from the many responses (it is a very active roll call) that it seems to be "clicky" as in, the back and forth with the cruise lifers of this and that, meet here, do that, and always responding to one another. I've had a few responses but as I am not a frequent roll caller, the responses have been very limited and primarily between those that already know each other from many previous cruises. That is all well and good, it really is, these folks get to see one another again and reminisce, but it's clear, at least to me, that the point of the roll call, at least as I understood it, was to be inclusive and welcome, get to meet new people etc. Not what I am sensing thus far. I will of course make an attempt once on board, but I am going in with low expectations, this way I can only be pleasantly surprised. Just my 2 cents/sense.
  11. So even if there is a tax added and you have the drink package, what is the cost...maybe $1.50, but perhaps if one drinks a lot it may matter, to me, I am on vacation, cest la vie.
  12. Could of been taken care of on board the ship.
  13. I remember your live posting when you did that cruise! I’ll be on EDGE in October for a 14 day TA, so looking forward to it!
  14. Even before Covid every flight I’ve been on, and I fly often, has had every o/h bin filled. The deplaning time has nothing to do with us smart travelers that know how to pack.
  15. but how many times have we seen the grumbling about no upper management/staff/officers attending? To many that astonishingly seems to be a big deal.
  16. Stay in an upper suite and laundry is included
  17. Wondering if you have a preference on where to sail ? I do but I just want to be on a cruise and when I do it will be on the EDGE
  18. Jeez, this is the thread that just keeps on giving...
  19. LOL, just remember that Princess Margaret, the one here who likes the stealthy butler, is not the same as the OP. Princess M just weighed in on her expectations of how she uses her butler.
  20. Can NRD's be moved to a new cruise more than one time, paying the admin fee? My brother and his apparently changed two cruises by moving the NRD and now want to do it again for a different cruise. She said their TA told them it is not allowed, or rather it has to be approved now by high up in the chain of command. I don't think this is correct but am not sure, my deposits have almost always been made booking refundable.
  21. When I fly for a 2 week vacation, I can pack everything in a roller that fits in the O/H bin above my seat and I also take a carry-on that has 2 days of clothes in it as well. Never had a problem.
  22. those IV's must also be Kelly's fault as well
  23. LOL! I think you are confusing Princess Margaret with the OP though.
  24. Generally speaking, I would agree, but not always. That said, it also was not decorated when my grandma was sailing.
  25. CC is not the place to ask, call your medical care provider
