  1. Yes, so long as the cruise returns to Vancouver or you can drive to Vancouver without crossing a border.
  2. And a number of other threads.
  3. From the reports, one has a better chances of winning at the race track than a flight delivering one on the booked date and time. Even booking to arrive a day ahead of time seems chancy. Hopefully the situation will resolve itself soon. The US Secretary of Transportation has apparently warned the airlines to stop selling tickets that cannot be fulfilled. I hope Canada follows with the same warning.

  5. @Fouremco answers the basic question. I would add that at least one poster has reported Viking requires an ArriveCAN submission in this circumstance. Speculation is that either Viking doesn't understand the requirements or that it is using the app to verify vaccination status. Also, if you are entering Canada to board the cruise you will have to make a submission prior to that trip.
  6. I wonder why the C&I declaration can only be used for YYZ and YVR.
  7. Welcome to CC. This board does not have a message feature. The one you see is restricted to communications from CC. There are several places to find relevant information. You can interact with others on your voyage in the thread dedicated to that voyage.
  8. I'm not sure we should be catering to the vanishing small number of people without access to the net, the skills to fill out an online form or access to someone who does have the requisite skills and equipment. In fact I'm sure we shouldn't. If the form was made optional a significant number of people simply wouldn't bother. Either due to laziness or the belief that no one can tell them what to do. Why should these sloths be allowed to clog the arrivals process, penalizing the majority?
  9. So long as the cruise does not visit a non-Canadian port and then a Canadian one, yes.
  10. St. John's Marine Terminal. At the top of the page asking the question there should be a help bubble "See list of marine ports of entry". If you click on the bubble a popup will appear with types of ports, the first being "Cruise ship operations".
  11. Wonderful news. I hope everything proceeds as expected and you both have a wonderful cruise.
  12. You can use a single account. Make a joint submission when travelling together. When travelling solo just select the appropriate person when making the submission, (just check the box beside the appropriate person). Each submission has to be done exclusively on either the web page or app. I haven't tried with two separate phones, but I suspect the app can be on separate phones and use the same account. But a submission started on one phone must be completed on that phone. If I understand the plans: Joint submission within 72 hours before crossing for flight to Europe. Presuming separate return flights: Husband only submission within 72 hours of returning flight. Wife only submission within 72 hours or returning flight. If both returning on same flight, joint submission within 72 hours of scheduled departure time. Husband submission within 72 hours before crossing to pickup wife.
  13. Across the board GOC wait and processing times have become horrendous. Getting an MP involved is a good idea. At the very least it will become a caucus issue if enough MPs are inundated.
  14. For a random thread use the Follow button at the bottom of each page (placement may differ by device). When posting in a thread, there is a Follow topic slider below the post edit. One can also create custom streams.
  15. Without knowing citizenship and any other issues raised by the agent it's tough to comment. I would point out that a simple perusal of the know before you go FAQ might have prompted prior corrective action. See Identification Requirements in https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/faq/know-before-you-go.html.
  16. According to https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-passports/urgent-emergency-passport.html one can walk-in to any Passport Canada office within 2 days of travel and apply on an emergency basis. Having an application already in process likely complicates matters.
  17. I don't get all the ArriveCAN antipathy. It's a simply and quick process. So many are complaining about long clearance times while also complaining about anything that might speed up processing. The tourist groups that are pushing the elimination of ArriveCAN are actually asking for the elimination of any COVID vaccination and testing requirements for entry. Might as well also suggest eliminating visas and passport requirements. Surely more tourists would visit if this paperwork wasn't required. 🙄
  18. People traveling together can use a single ArriveCAN submission. Have a great cruise.
  19. I was on Emerald Princess when that happened. I recall that many crew appeared stunned and were having difficulty dealing with the news. Passengers didn't seem that affected.
  20. Doesn't change the quarantine location. The cruise line is responsible for making the arrangements, so that is where authorities can find you.
  21. You forgot the pocket nuke option. 🙄 I guess you haven't read any cruise contracts.
