Any recent positive information on using the BOGO air?
GALSews replied to diverdon48371's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Wouldn't it have been faster just to drive home from Philly, than to have to fly to Charlotte and then back to Baltimore? -
Our honeymoon was in St. Croix, pre-change of centuries. From our room, we observed a wedding party. The men in the bridal party were wearing tuxes - the bottom potion of which were formal shorts. I've often wondered if tuxedo shorts would be acceptable. Note, we will not be toting such a type of tux to test out acceptability.

New class of ships confirmed to be 225.000 tonnes.
GALSews replied to DutchCruiseFan's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
As @complawyer observed, the point is not on the ship itself, but at the ports. If you are cruising to cruise that is one thing. However, if you are cruising to visit places, then maybe dumping 8000 people into NYC for a day isn't a big deal, but flooding a place like Santorini is. -
I will tell you that they don't appreciate Gordon Lightfoot's Canadian Railway Trilogy (all 6 minutes and 22 seconds) or, in fact, any Lightfoot song.

Additional individual tips when on cabin with a butler.

I really wish that hotels paid their staff a liveable wage. As it is, hotels can pay less than minimum wage to their employees if tips bring the employee's pay to the minimum wage. As we often only stay one night at a hotel and almost never interact with the housekeeper other than to say hello if we see them and their cart, it bothers me to tip them for their services. (Note that we do, because we are aware that their pay starts below minimum wage. I'd really prefer to just pay more for the room as I'm not getting any additional service and not feel obligated to tip. (By getting tips, do the hotels avoid having to pay into social security for the tipped amount?) -

Still hoping they will come up with something for the eclipse in 2026. (BTW, there is another total eclipse going over Spain in 2027.) -

I think the word is chien, not chapeau.

Agreed, we did the Rome to Israel back in 2022 on the Epic. As debenson0723 noted. the weather isn't oppressively hot.

True you can't get one without paying the additional $3.60 ($18-15=3 and then the extra $.60 for the tip on the extra $3b). But if you don't mind paying the $3.60 you can get it. Just wanted to add that, as NCL newbies may think they can ONLY get drinks priced at $15 or less. You just pay the difference and the 20% tip on the difference. -

The pictures of the seat otters are great. Just a small nit, baby sea otters are called pups or, as I discovered while verifying the term pup, they may also be called kits. If more than one baby is born, the the group of babies is called a litter. Thanks for the puffin pictures. We didn't see any in May. -
I know why. For me, tilapia is a no-go. What makes me chuckle related to fish is that on the Prima, three different restaurants servce Mediterranean sea bass, only they fish is called by 3 different names. The other two being loupe-de-mer and branzino. BTW, glad to be following another BirdTravels write up. 4 years ago we were supposed to be on the Encore, but eventually elected to go on the Jewel as she spent more time in port.

No, it is $50 per excursion. If you can fit in two excursions, you get $50 off for each excursion. Can someone delete this as it is a duplicate rseponse. Thanks -
Putting that in context my 1-year old 39 panels are producing 2.2kW at the moment as a large cloud is passing overhead. A few seconds ago they were at 11.8 kW, (The 15-year old panels we replaced because they were defective would have been doing about 4 kW at the high end.) To get to 60 Mw, you'd need 508 of my roofs which given the size of my house agrees quite well with the chief's estimate of 17 acres and that assumes no clouds and optimum sun angle. With the cloud blocking, you'd need over 5 times as much surface area.

Still early for us. But they haven't been responsive to questions. I have difficulty hearing and even my husband couldn't hear their message. Fortunately for us, we have only put down a small deposit at this point. -

The Haven pool deck (on deck 16) is available to all Haven guests. It is the Haven Sun deck (deck 17) that is restricted to those 16 and above. We saw (and enjoyed watching) youngsters in the infinity pool. From NCL's deck plans: Aft for deck 16 Aft deck 17 -
So, I do have to ask, while in St. Ives, did you meet with man with 7 wives and ask how many were going to St. Ives?

It was convenient. My hobby job is at a fabric store. We have baskets so people won't restock the patterns. There are pictures on patterns - a dog raincoat does not look like a child's top, but the middle rack is a lot easier to reach than the bottom. As a baby boomer, I'd use the excuse that Sesame Street didn't exist when I was a kid, but now most people should have seen it as kids and heard those words "One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just don't belong"

I want to see if they will have an eclipse cruise or two in August 2026.
