  1. The balloon knows all - Medallion or no Medallion:
  2. As noted on these boards recently there are many people that are highly disappointed in Princess in a wide variety of ways. You are not alone I believe.
  3. We have been told that auto-gratuities are split fleet wide and just not to that specific ship.
  4. Not in the least. Princess is charging way more for less post Covid and new leadership. They have cutback in many ways and they may not be done for all we know. Obviously the new menus are just a shell of what they use to be. As the ships get larger their international itineraries will be shrinking too.
  5. Princess signed an agreement with Xpotential Fitness featuring Xponential’s Club Pilates, Pure Barre, Yoga Six, CycleBar, Row House, AKT Dance, and StretchLab brands with more offerings to come fleet wide. The classes were supposed to start February 20th, 2023 and there is a cost for the courses unless you have purchased Princess' Premier packages and you get unlimited free classes or 2 free classes with the Plus package. My question is has anyone noticed these classes limiting the amount of time or equipment that passengers who are not paying for or taking the courses can use or access the ship health clubs?
  6. Maybe time to start traveling with a mini coffee maker with an automatic shut-off and just avoid the whole Princess coffee rip-off.
  7. LOL. I am not sure you have done a thorough tour of Princess kitchens if you think everything is being individually prepped, prepared and cooked. It is simply more cutbacks, not a well thought out dining experience, and that menu would be short lived if it were in a restaurant on land. It really is lacking in so many ways and many of the new changes we have tried on the current Princess menus are really void of imagination, presentation and taste.
  8. I just called Princess and even though it is not showing in our cruise personalizer I was able to have the agent add and pay for the Classic Soda package. Total was $17.63 a day and it now shows paid for in our personalizer for a 21 day cruise in May. One of the things I noticed is that she said canned sodas were included in this package now.
  9. Princess Love Boat Dream is not even close to what it use to be. Had it on our last cruise and it is really lacking in many qualities now. This is such a limited menu, especially for those of us who do 20 to 30 day cruises that it makes one wonder if their new pricing and cutbacks have reached the point where Oceana, Viking or Regent might be more worth it now.
  10. Wow. Talk about cutbacks. No shrimp cocktail? ☹️
  11. LOL. That is rich coming from someone who says they live in Las Vegas where everyone is ripped off by the hotels with their notorious "resort fees" and every casino worker seems to want a tip. Not to mention the valets who easily make over a $100,000 at some resorts for parking and fetching a car. Tipping a baggage handler seems like a small price to pay. It really is all relative in the big scheme of things.
  12. It is not about the balcony size but the convenience it seems for the majority of passengers who book CC/RC.
  13. We always book Club Class and love it. We appreciate being able to immediately go to a table (not having to wait in long lines which seems to be the norm post Covid), the friendly wait staff, eating all of our meals in CC (breakfast, lunch and dinner), meals not taking forever to be served and just find it more enjoyable and worth every penny. We would get bored real fast with the menu eating in a speciality restaurant every night. When we are on a ship with open deck minis we get a suite and still enjoy CC.
  14. We were on an Alaska cruise this summer in Club Class and two couples who could obviously care what other thought about what they wore, did wear bib overalls to the dining room a couple of times and were warmly greeted by the wait staff in Club Class. Seen it all!
  15. Not true. They have lanyards and many other ways people can attach Medallions to carry them effortlessly. They are light weight and about the size of a quarter maybe You do not have to take it out at all to open a door, order a drink or other things. I am a believer in do not knock something if you have not tried it. They are here to stay.
  16. This is the reality of Princess. It suggests certain dress on Formal nights but by no means does it require what it suggests. Do not worry about dressing to the nines and just enjoy your cruise. It will not matter what you wear no matter what anyone else wears either. Most passengers pay no attention to what others are wearing it seems anyway. Much ado about nothing.
  17. This sounds like the coffee package we bought and have bought on recent crises which now shows out of stock in our personalizers.
  18. Do Aloha Shirts for men work on formal nights? They are allowed in all restaurants in Hawaii at any time?
  19. Does your old card have an expiration date on it? If it does it expired on that date. If not, I believe Princess allowed old Coffee Cards to be used until August 31st 2019. Have you not sailed since that date?
  20. I will be a ship full of grandmas and grandpas and something else Carnival does not have - walkers and scooters.
  21. If they had a booking system then who gets first crack? I guess it would have to be those who fully pay for their cruise first.
  22. It only says in the published Princess information on this new perk that it is for "Production Shows Only" which does not mean it is really that impactful for the majority of most peoples' cruises.
