  1. So new April is Spring Break but old April isn't? I'd keep calling, although likely won't help, but I'd keep trying. Also email and ask them to explain how the price protection works. Good luck - I'm pulling for you.
  2. I so wish I could help ypu, but I have zero knowledge of this. I am very interested to see responses, though, from those who do know. I haven't seen this listed on the ships I've been on...so intriguing...
  3. We frequently ask for smaller portions and have had no issues receiving them. I pre-select my dinners one night before w/a note of what I want smaller portioned, so of course that's easy for them to do. My sister & friend do not pre order, but rather request smaller portions at dinner and have not had an issue. We also "mix & match" our menu selections - cut the mashed sweet potatoes, give me the roasted potatoes instead, skip the carrots & add green beans... I don't remember when we've ever ordered anything exactly as it is listed on the menu. No "grab n go." This has all been in MDR, not CO.
  4. I'm not a big ant fan, so I hope that limit is really low; then I can move on to using it on fun stuff like cappuccino!!
  5. You may get the special 150 anniversary edition.
  6. You will have a window of time after booking (and before final payment) where you can add trip protection on most bookings. It depends on your fare code. Non-refundable rates that are due in full at time of booking, require trip protection be done purchased then as you cannot add it later. Best to ask when you book so you're not surprised or disappointed.
  7. Since it seems some things can be bypassed and completed later, what are the minimum things one must do to get a boarding time?
  8. Thanks for sharing - I will definitely check them out.
  9. The stingray excursion is great and kiddos who like the water and the creatures living it should enjoy it. How old are the kids? Younger ones may be a little uncomfortable around the stingrays as some are quite large. I had one playing w/me - continuously going in and out between my legs and circling around me - the trainer said she (the stingray) weighed over 300 lbs!! They are very gentle - you can pet, feed and kiss them. You can also snorkle in the same area w/the stingrays, so there's another view of them. We had a small group, I think maybe less than 10 people.
  10. Mine have been quick. Possibly check spam folder just to be sure.
  11. Congrats on making a choice to spend some quality time w/your mom. Even though you decided against HAL, I'm sure you'll have a lovely trip. Looking at your list of excursions (which is helpful, BTW) first thought is Pedal Pub Crawl for your 80yo mom? Really? If it was my mom, it'd be Yikes!! Or are you doing that one w/o her? If she goes and enjoys herself, can we schedule a play date for our moms? Mine needs friends like yours, lol.
  12. Hey @law chick glad you're enjoying your cruise!! You can give them $$ individually or give it to Host or Maitre D' for them to distribute, either is acceptable. I've had 1 experience where I purposely did not give it to Maitre D' as he was noticeable "mean" to his staff and we had no interaction w/him outside of observing his unacceptable treatment of the staff and did not want to give him anything above the regular grats. So, we gave directly to our servers that trip.
  13. For my upcoming B2B Venezia out of NYC, from Cruise Manager, click "categories" in top left. I see transfers (both directions) listed under both "excursions" and "airport transfers." I did not select any specific day or port. All options were showing, For these screenshots, I just grabbed the first ones that came up. You can also call to purchase. Hope this helps. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  14. I'm guessing OP probably was thinking about water shoes, which are perfectly appropriate for a water slide. @disneyfan551?
  15. I've used the form to transfer bookings several times w/o issue. Last month, though, I had them all kicked back saying I either needed separate forms from the 2nd pax or I needed to add a statement to each of them that I was financially responsible for the booking. Once I did that, I immediately received confirmation of the transfers. Maybe I got someone new or maybe they're just being more particular and not "rubber stamping" them.
  16. Chef in Pinnacle Grill one time told us they'll gladly accommodate requests for smaller or half portions, even on steaks, if you ask. And as for the allergies, as others said, fill out the form pre-cruise, once onboard they'll bring you the next night's menu to make selections for the following night.
  17. Hey @BigMattT you can ask your cabin steward for a XXXL robe; if they can't find one, you can also ask at the spa. You can use it for the duration of the cruise, so no need to return it & get a new one.
  18. Transfers are under excursions, you can see them either direction - airport to ship or ship to airport. Strange though, once I bought mine, I don't see them in my booking, but when I called to check on them, Carnival says they can see them.
  19. Me, too - I think I lost that hair, got more and probably lost it, too. Then for sure, colored, curled, straightened and cut it. Hm, I need a nap now after all that hair doing...
  20. Thanks @Machta for the update, glad you enjoyed it. Guessing you didn't snap a picture of the Chicken Wire Art?
  21. Thanks for posting; appreciate your insights. We are B2B Venezia NY Canada next month, so your post is timely. 😊 Happy to hear you had a good time, enjoyed the cruise and liked the ship. Couple questions - where & when did you get the coffee card? Did you have any issues getting ice in your cabin? Early reports of ice shortages & hoping that's been resolved. And did the overall temperature in the common ares (not your cabin) seem ok? Early reports the ship was too warm, hoping that's been resolved. So excited to see the ship and VERY excited for the cooler weather of 🇨🇦 🍁. Anything noteworthy for any of the ports? We have only booked 2 excursions for the 2 weeks so we're open to recommendations.
  22. Diff ship, we arrive Oct 26 for a few days getting lost in Rome then cruise Oct 29 - Nov 10, fly home Nov 11. We'll still 👋 As for a Live - you can do it, yes you can; you can do it, I'm a fan!! 🥸📣😊
  23. If you happen to see your steward as you leave for breakfast, let them you'll be back to grab your stuff after you eat. They can still work on your cabin if they need to and you can return to brush your teeth & anything else you need to then just grab your stuff when it's time to go. Tummy fed, teeth brushed, luggage not schlepped and disembark group intact 🤗
