  1. One of the great things about freestyle cruising is that people don't look at you funny because of how you dress...as long as you remember your undies go on first.
  2. Why don't you ask that question of the "professionals at the cruise line" instead of expecting that we should somehow know the "why" behind what they do? It might come as a surprise to some, but the cruise line generally doesn't ensure that people on Cruise Critic are informed of the "why" behind decisions.
  3. When you approach the desk at O'Sheehan's to request a table you have to present/scan your keycard. This would indicate to the staff that you are a Haven guest. Nothing needs to be stated, and nobody would be calling attention to themselves. This is totally different than, for example, a person asking a question about NCLH Shareholder OBC while pointing out that they are booked in a Haven cabin...as though that would skew the response.
  4. I can't see the decision to spend one's money on a Haven cabin as either an "accomplishment" or a "milestone". It is really nothing more than a purchasing choice. When I board a plane, I don't see people offering those who choose to purchase a first-class ticket for their "accomplishment" or "milestone". However, I do agree that it takes a bit of tackiness to flaunt that purchase by continually calling attention to it.
  5. There are always vacation rotations taking place. Better to spread them out them have mass changeover at once. I do know of some who actually went on vacation at the end of my cruise...which of course means that others returned.
  6. They are offered. There is a line for those without reservations that they open prior to showtime. I don't know whether or not anyone was turned away, so I can't say for sure if reservations are "needed".
  7. In case anyone would like to review, here are the dailies from the Norwegian Encore's 12/4/22 sailing. Encore1.pdf Encore2.pdf Encore3.pdf Encore4.pdf Encore5.pdf Encore6.pdf Encore7.pdf
  8. Ummm...you are the one who is actually onboard the ship...shouldn't YOU be telling us the how/what/why of what is going on?
  9. If it is really a big concern and you're restricted to travelling during that time, it just might be a good time to experience Virgin Cruises.
  10. Always interesting to see that some folks here aren't able to see the difference between Norwegian Cruise Line and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
  11. Just call me skeptical. I know that when I'm "done" with something, I am "done". There is no "probably not" on the table. I wouldn't even be posting or reading on an Internet forum about it. Done is done.
  12. I don't think I've ever seen someone use "Haven" in what I'd consider a snobby way. However, if you read enough posts/threads on here you will quickly notice how many people just feel compelled to inject "Haven" into places where it doesn't need to be...almost as if they are posting for no other reason than to say "I'm in the Haven". For example, I've seen people post to ask a question about a shore excursion, but for whatever reason, they have to preface their shore excursion question with a "We're staying in the Haven, and while we're in Cozumel...".
  13. Ever wonder why we say "Haven concierge" instead of just saying "concierge"? It isn't like we need to use "Haven" to differentiate between one concierge over another.
  14. Already been tried....which is why NCL instituted things like the $15 cost limit on drinks, or the 1 app, 1 entree, 1 dessert policy on free dinners. Start wasting drinks and you'll be back here whining about the new drinks per day limit they'll add. On a related note, what about the other side of this topic, is anybody wondering "If I drink MORE than 109 in booze per day, who gets screwed out of tips"?
  15. Just an FYI... This is a new program option that NCL is TESTING. Right now, this option is only being offered to guests on the 2/24 sailing of the Joy and the 2/25 sailing of the Bliss. If you aren't on one of those two sailings, you won't see this option until/if the program becomes permanent.
  16. Just came back from Encore. Phone # for the concierge was provided by the CruiseNext/Latitudes Rep. Concierge is the one who provides the priority restaurant/entertainment seating benefit and certainly was available as needed.
  17. Non-Haven library is on deck 6, starboard side between the atrium and Q.
  18. To clear this up... I spoke with the bar manager on the Encore. What the new corporate policy is is that the will not offer or push shots...iow, you won't see people walking around with trays of shots for sale. However, you can still order them at any bar.
  19. Sorry, but nationality does not equal race. I could live in the US, the UK, Germany, Africa, Russia, Brazil, Japan...and my race is still the same. Nationality can change.
  20. You know what they say...Hear and consider all sides and viewpoints and you are "open-minded". However, when you ignore certain sides and viewpoints, well, that just means you are "ignorant". For some people ignorance is bliss. They'd rather live in an echo chamber than risk exposure to any viewpoint that doesn't align with their own...hence why some folks come here expecting to find a support group.
  21. Yet we've been assured that the reports are accurate, corroborated, and not made up. Imagine that.
  22. So...you've been here 5 years, are a self-appointed hall monitor, and you haven't yet figured out that there are no DMs on this forum?
  23. If the OP is truthful, then you're already on their ignore list, so there is no longer a place for you to apologize.
